Well duh...you ever been to the Ottawa valley? Pretty sure Renfrew is more inbred than the royal families of Europe.

Wrong - Royals take the cake- then maybe Renfrew

Id really love to see the Leafs make the playoffs this season. So no, lets not trade our best Dman when we have no one who can play the minutes he can play.

Let alone go up against the toughest competition in the league like he does.

- jbold

doesn't he make stupid mistakes though when he plays big minutes?
If you can't double shift your 1D in a seventh game, up by two with 1:10 to play without him turning into a retard, is he really that valuable?

i disagree on this given the optics of the situation. the trade for Bernier makes it pretty clear that he's fighting an uphill battle and always will with Nonis/Carlyle in charge.
- DoubleDown

Similar to when Gussy was playing great and had us in the playoffs and they kept pushing Reimer into the net. Yeah sucks but he's benefitted from it too so can't say I feel sorry for him.

He's our 1D right now, but he's best suited as a 2D with someone to help him share the load. Dion makes his blunders, but he's a very entertaining player to watch. I like him as a Leaf.

I think that's more to do with your obvious lack of protein

It's obvious that the Leafs don't have faith in Reimer as a #1. They tried like crazy at last years trade deadline to get Kipper. But Kipper wouldn't waive his NTC. Than trading Frattin & Scrivens to get Bernier further underlines what I'm saying.

Curious to see how Leblanc will do. He was injured most of last year, he has a lot to prove. Same with Beaulieu, should be a year where he is close to make it but he had some off ice issues since April, we'll see how he handles it.

His problem is his weakness really effect the team as whole. His rebound control cause un needed extra work for the defenders (extra physical battles) and puck handling skills required defence man to constantly go all the way back instead being able cut across and start a rush.

Funny how Leafs TV airs the one hour recaps of many of the games from the tragic Boston/Toronto seires but I've yet to them air game 7. I'd like to see it. I'd like to watch that horrific last 1o minutes again. Mabie I could understand what the hell went wrong. Which Leaf players are truly to blame besides Phanuef, I'd like to know.

Well bro, he wasn't part of the problem in game 7 as his whole team abandoned him. But good lord he wasn't part of the solution either. With his whole team in front of him frozen like a deer in headlights for that last horrific 10 minutes, he needed to make some big saves, steal the victory, but he didn't
