His whole career? He's played 63 NHL games (won 29). You're crazy if you think bernier is the saviour. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Where did he say "saviour"? |

Yes, the Ugirls help for sure, but it's more than that. There's a general level of hotness inherent to Quebecoise city girls. I think it might be as simple as they just care about looking good more than their Ontarian counterparts. Or maybe the grass just looks greener on the other side. Someone should do a scientific study. - 1979AD
The boats bringing women to New France for the lonely colonists stopped in Quebec City before Montreal. Guess who got the hotties and guess who got Scott Gomez |

Well duh...you ever been to the Ottawa valley? Pretty sure Renfrew is more inbred than the royal families of Europe. |

What do you think happens if Reimer clearly outplays him? - 1979AD
Then we have a somewhat expensive, but capable back-up for a while. Nonis will look a little silly if he can't recoup a decent package for Bernier, but a 3rd liner and a 2nd pick is not an overpayment for potential, in my opinion. |

I'd really love to see the Leafs trade Phaneuf to the Oilers for their 1st round pick. Something tells me its going to end up in the top 5 once again. |

Id really love to see the Leafs make the playoffs this season. So no, lets not trade our best Dman when we have no one who can play the minutes he can play.
Let alone go up against the toughest competition in the league like he does. |

I've done some research and Bernier's bird is an equal if not better replacement than April Reimer. - 1979AD

Bernier is a better goalie than James Reimer, flat out. He's had incredible numbers his whole career and has fewer injury question marks. I like Reimer, and he'll find a home as below average starter somewhere in the league... but JB will become a solid starter when given the opportunity this year as a Maple Leaf. - PotvinFan

I'm just saying, if Edmonton is calling, which there has been reports of them showing interest. A 1st round pick would be a must, especially when there's a very good chance of it being 1st overall. |

Losing Phaneuf would not make us drop that much in the standings, just as the Oilers attaining Phaneuf would not change their standing. I like the guy, but are the Leafs even interested in extending his contract, especially when he's asking for more than he's worth. |

Oilers with Dion are better than the Leafs without Dion.

With less teams in their conference and youth ready to take it to the next level its not as good as you think. |
