Sorry - I always hate disagreeing with you but that's just not true. There are over 200 trades in Canada -- and like any other occupation, things can be very cyclical.

Industrial trades in Ontario certainly aren't growing right now

Dude, I went to university, York was just too big to truly enjoy. Sheridan College in Oakville though was filled with girls, especially the journalism program. Thing was I was practically already married when I went there, but trust me, there were tons of girls on that campus.

but like Im trying to argue with Bruce is that, despite not starting my actual career as of yet, my education background has landed me a few promotions over the past year/two above people who had years of experience here with limited/no education...so even though the career Im striving for could still be another year/two away, im doing quite well while I wait because the skills I learnt in Uni are transferable...and this is coming from a guy who is telling many of his cousins to get into trades

For sure. Both my cousins are in the trades and both do pretty well for themselves. The good news for me is that when I'm done I should be able to roll into a nice, six-figure position. The bad news is the five years spent earning below the poverty line to get myself into that position
