Has anyone else checked Ek's Stamkos Vs. Toews debate. Man some people don't understand hockey.

I took a look at that. Arguing with those guys is just like banging your head against a wall.

You should post your "Frustration" picture on that thread, that will silence everyone.

It probably would.

For real Ek. Do people actually understand hockey or watch hi-lites? "Stamkos had 2 goals. What a player".

Ogi, thanks for coming in there too.

I guess it's a matter of opinion who is better, Stamkos or Toews? Both are centers I would love to have on a team if I were a GM of an organization. Personal bias aside, the two Stanley Cups to go along with a Conn Smythe and a Selke outweigh the 1 and a half Rocket Richard Trophy wins Stamkos. Toews is also about a point a game player. That's got to be worth something when lumping him in against Stamkos. Toews wearing the "C" on his sweater for two cup wins also speaks volumes.

Toews > Stamkos.

What tells you Saad will have any success there?

Wait, Wiz, and let me get straight on this. You're saying Saad will be a C and Danault will be a W?

- John Jaeckel

My point was simply IF he does he is the breakthrough player...right?

I maintain that Danault (who in his brief audition in Rockford didn't show NHL ready dominance that forced the IceHog staff to bench a loyal veteran and play him) would have to be plenty damn good to leapfrog the "Rockford fills" at this point, and I would much like to be of that opinion, but can't be.
Nothing indicated either Saad or Danault can play 2nd line centre, but I know Saad has the speed and dangle and past experience to ATTEMPT the move NOW.

I am confident Danault WILL eventually be a bottom six Hawk who will always be able to slide up into the top six wing, when necessary, ala Kruger...

In the deepest depths of my Hawk heart, I would love it to be that their is top six success awaiting Danny....but my views don't see him as a top six centre. Some try to make a comparison to Claude Giroux, also rated much lower his draft year b/c he was slight to Danault, but Giroux is good laterally and dangles, and Danault is more straight line bursts, with a strong all around game, and relishes contact at his size.

Can't believe they hand his a sweater this season, unless he is Godzilla in preseason...these older guys are gonna now pass through waviers to shuttle, so it is also about organizational strategy, but IF there is no way to NOT play him...nah...he gets seasoning adjustment and and transition against bigger stronger AHL vets and defensemen who don't average 5 11 in the QMJHL...

Maybe I will start looking for eye replacement surgery if what many here think happens...
so far can't find a voice box replacement sugeon, mostly because I haven't allowed one to get a word in edgewise.
