reid was here about 5 years too long.

the cap pushed clarke out. he would have eventually bailed, but that hastened his exit imo.

A Flyers regular season loss to a Flyers Cup Final loss to a not making it to the playoffs at all is torture to me. Wondering what could have been with Ray Bourque on our side isn't torture to me. In fact we did have the pleasure of picking up a Chris Pronger or a Peter Forsberg in recent years and while it never led to a championship, I still had the pleasure of watching them play on a short but nightly basis.

The Flyers seem rather predictable in the types of players they like playing for them. Chris Pronger, Jason Smith, Ray Emery and Wayne Simmonds are all examples of players I always wanted and knew someday this team would eventually acquire. Vincent Lecavalier is one of those players who fits the Flyers mold but it never crossed my mind in my wildest dreams he would land here. On the other hand, Keith Tkachuk, Rob Blake, Jerome Iginla, Shane Doan, Joe Thornton and Shea Weber are others I would have bet money we would have forsure picked up too but never did. Who are the players you knew we would pick up and did, while also betting on other players you thought we would have picked up but never did?
