I think Pacioretty relies to much on Desharnais making him the pass, and his game then becomes predictable.

Playing with a new center might bring him back to basic, which was to drive the net.

Actually, when he was driving the net with Cole, he helped to take some heat off Desharnais behind the net, letting him control the puck and giving him options. I would like to see Desharnais paired with Bourque next season, as he was the only over-6-feet player crashing the net.

Actually, dd would make a pass to one of Cole or Max from his own end, then those two would go down the ice together and make a play on net. If the puck stayed in the other teams end, and the team was able to create some pressure, that is when dd would catch up to the play and sit behind the net.

Max didn't have that player that could keep up with him last year, and the line faltered.
