You need to watch it at least 10-15 times to take it all in.

I just read something about the fact that, if they had E-Z Pass back then, he'd still be alive!!!

It's just not every day that you wake up feeling like watching a 10 hours long Godfather marathon...

And the back and the forth, and the back and the forth. One just had so many awesome characters. And Bruno Kirby? Meh, I don't know.

As DD said, if there are commercials, it's not even minimum wage.

Have watched parts of the three movies and Godfather part II on TVA/TQS when I was like 12. I've bought the Godfather's blu-ray trilogy, will probably watch it soon.
- _nay_

It's MUCH better in French. You know, like Slap Shot.

Another fine film.

Edit: You know Andy Kaufman, Dann DeVito and Tony Danza aren't in it, right?

lol casino is not better than goodfellas cmon
- Crimsoninja

The acting is equal in both films so that's a wash.
Goodfellas tells the story of 1 heist according to a degenerate loser, he's been openly called out in the media by other mobsters regarding the accuracy of his story.
Casino is much more informative from a historical perspective, it tells us a lot about how Vegas came to be, and the ins and outs of how casinos were run during that period was equally interesting. You throw in the violence and it makes for a Far more complete film than goodfellas. I really like both nut godfather I is the king of them all.

Don't think I've seen Casino more than a couple of times. Will have to take another look.
- hscesq

Actually saw it 2 days ago. Its like they took every scene that wouldnt quite fit in goodfellas and just jammed it into casino. Still entertaining as hell but it just seems like more of a way for scorsese to hang out with his buddies on set one more time

So many good movies...so little time. Plus it's those kind of movies you have to be in the mood to watch. Most of the time these days I just want to see a stupid comedy or an action movie with a dumb storyline. I imagine you can't really turn your brain off while watching The Godfather...

Al Pacino can pretty much take a dump on screen for two hours, and it will be quality film.
