Montreal is a big IF team. if they get 65 games of solid goaltending from Price and remain relatively healthy for 82 games, they could easily finish top 3 in the division. either one of those things doesn't happen, and you're looking at the customary 7-10 season-long grind. both of those things don't happen, lottery team.
i don't think Bergevin was too concerned with making serious upgrades this summer because he knows that this isn't a championship core.

Truth is ... we're still too small up front, 1 good def away from being solid down there, and still need to see what carey s good at ... Bergevin couldnt do any magic this summer i mean come on ... Clarkson at 6m ??? i would have gone to mtl myself to have a physical chat with marc if he would have made this kind of signing ... so its a coming along real nice but more work needs to be done . |
