long term, with Emelin, Tinordi and even Subban, there's going to be enough physicality on defence. hopefully as the team evolves, we'll see more of it up front. but i think the idea is to build a team tough enough not to get pushed around. you don't need to be a physically intimidating team to win. - DoubleDown

agree. but Gionta and Briere are short term. Gallagher will be there long term. DD is on the fence. Bergevin is starting to add some forwards with size through the draft, like Galchenyuk, McCarron, de la Rose, Bozon. who knows how they all turn out, but Bergevin has been pretty clear since day 1 that he's doing this poop through the draft, so it's gonna take time. |
