You have to give both of those guys credit for one thing, however, there is never a dull moment.

I would love some insane trade between the Penguins, Rangers, and Flyers involving Lundqvist, Crosby, and Giroux all changing teams. Not because I want to trade Giroux, but because the internet would shatter.

You know, if the Rangers and Flyers weren't hated division rivals, they would actually make good trade partners, given their respective strengths. We know the Rangers almost traded with the Penguins for Jordan Staal, so you never know I guess. Doubtful, but possible.

They would, but most forwards on the Flyers are looked at as "core" pieces. The player every team always wants is Simmonds, but the problem is that players like him are very hard to replace. Voracek and Hartnell are here to stay. I guess maybe a B. Schenn trade would be possible.

It will all be for nothign if you cant sign Kadri and Franson. Taking Salary back in the Bernier trade was a bad move, and Bolland, even though a useful player, has over priced contract from being a on a very good Hawks team.
- DDM-Coga

Kadri will get done. I'm worried about Franson though.

I look at Bolland as a great 3rd line centre just based at what he can bring to a team that is as top heavy in scoring as the Leafs. Him centering McClement and Kulemin will be a mean checking line. But that's for other threads.

Metro division will be intense for sure. I'd be worried as an Islanders fan because Carolina is only getting better and Philly always finds a way to bounce back. Stole Streit. Replaced Briere with Lecav. That playoff appearance could be short lived.

Not worried at all. Actually pretty excited for the season to begin. They have just as good a shot at the playoffs as does the Leafs, Hurricanes, Flyers, Capitals etc etc..

Definitely. I'm just banking on the Leafs snagging one of their 3 division spots and not even having to deal with the clusterf-uck that will be the East wildcard race.

Buffalo and Florida are rebuilding. They will still suck

Ottawa,Montreal and Tampa don't scare me. Finish ahead of them, that's all it will take!

I would argue they are the 3rd best team in the division behind the Pens and Rangers (Lundquist will make the Rangers good despite their obvious holes). Outside of goaltending, the Isles are pretty solid. This is a team that has one of the Top 3 players in the game, a very fast offensive attack that can forecheck and score goals. They are good on the blueline (not great) with IMO the biggest question mark in the crease. If Nabby sucks the Isles will struggle, if he can regain his form and play the way he did down the stretch in late March and April the Isles are going to be very good.

When Johnson/Ochocinco or whatever (I think it was him) signed the ball, I wish one of the safeties on the other team would have calmly walked over to hima nd punched his head clean off his shoulders.

Remember back when Joe Horn was on the Saints and had a cell phone hidden in the field goal post padding of the end zone nd took it out to call whoever as a TD celebration? Total Richard move, but was definitely original..wonder which baby momma he called

tHAT WAS AGAINST THE Giants & it was his 4th TD catch of the game but that performance got totally overshadowed by the phone call.

If one of the Giants defenders had ripped his arm off of his body in the middle of the phone call, I'd applaud it.

If the PP dosen't improve to at least average and Staal still has some issues they could be on the other side of the bubble. Even so I think as usual it'll come down to the last 3-4 weeks of point chasing. Pouliot needs to supplement some goals and CK needs to hit at least the 20 mark. I do think Lindberg will help solidify the 4th line at some point. They should move Boyle now for a pick or prospect to clear a bit more space.

Horn was actually a good dude too, helped a lot of people & wanted no attention for it after Katrina, but he'll always be remembered for that stunt.

Sorry but I'd say 4th best. Call me a homer, but I think our offense on paper is stronger than yours, our defense on paper is probably the same if only marginally better/worse than yours, and our goaltending (at this point) is as much a question mark as yours, except if one of our guys is playing bad, we have another solid tendy to take more time, where as you're just stuck.
