This whole NVMC ordeal just confuses me.. i don't get how TOH was able to prevent Wang from building something that would generate a ton of money after it was approved by the state and county! |

it's probably quicker for most of us to go to brooklyn than LI. |

what actually makes the most sense is 41 Islander games a year on LI. |

Yeah 41 Islanders games each year on LI, with a few pre-season games sprinkled in is perfect by me.

I'm sure they would have to throw in at least one or two? I hope? There is a large contingent of Ranger fans in suffolk which I was unaware of till moving out here recently. Makes me want to move back to Manhattan |

So, I am trying to pick an English Premiere League team to follow in soccer. Obviously, no matter who I pick I am going to be jumping on the bandwagon a little, but one of my buddies suggested Arsenal because of their tortured history, and the fact that they most closely parallel the Rangers. I am thinking I'm just going to pick some team that wins alot, because between the Rangers and Michigan Football, I have too much misery. |

Than that narrows it down to really one team, Manchester United. |

arsenal constantly underachieves and is very stingy when it comes to money so they lose a lot of their top players once they wanna get paid.
chelsea is a total circus.
manchester united is really good but their manager (arguably the best manager in the world) just retired...but they're still gonna be sick but it's like becoming a penguins fan.
liverpool is one of the better teams but they're like arsenal in the sense that they constantly underachieve.
manchester city are good but they just buy all the best players in the world because they can. they have some likeable players like david silva and yaya toure. easily the most hated team in the EPL.
tottenham spurs would've been a great team to follow but they're one of those teams that always loses their amazing players they develop (like top 10 in the world) just when they enter their peak to teams like real madrid (they lost modric last summer to real madrid, and now losing bale who is arguably a top 5 player in the world to real madrid), but they kind of always find a way i guess.
those are probably the top teams in the EPL...just under that you have good teams that always put up a respectable fight like newcastle, stoke city (the most physical team in the world), aston villa, and everton.
it's a tough call, but i'm personally an arsenal fan (not by choice...used to live in london when i was younger and my dad took me to a few games). |

Thanks, great input. Basically, I am looking for a London location as well, because the whole purpose of this exercise is that we are going to follow a team for a couple of years, and then make our way to England to hit a few games and do whatever else you do in England. Therefore, a good location is key.
I've pretty much ruled out Man U and Man City, so I am down to Arsenal, Chelsea, and the Spurs.

i think the easiest way for you to pick is to pick your favorite player out of those teams and stick with the team for good. |

if i were you, i'd rule out the spurs, man city, and chelsea and pick either man u or arsenal.
if you wanna see winning and the top players in the world, pick man u. they have rooney at the moment who is one of the best players in the world, however, he is reportedly upset with the club and wants a transfer (chelsea is trying realllllyyyyyyy hard to get him), van persie who is a top 3 striker in the world imo (and used to be on arsenal before he left because he was tired of never winning anything there), nani who has swag and is a flairy player, hernandez who is a likeable little mexican kid, and some of the most respectable players in the world in giggs and ferdinand. plus, cristiano ronaldo wants to return to manchester united ASAP and most likely will by next summer.
if you want to go the honorable route...i guess there's arsenal...but i mean...its REALLY REALLY tough to be an arsenal fan. like more painful than a rangers fan by far. |

it could be something stepan's agent points out to sather, but again, all of our RFAs have done this with comparable RFA contracts and sather just ignores it and sticks to his guns. |
