It's risky, but I'd do it. - micah555
If it didn't turn out you could bury him in the minors with a 300 K cap hit. |

So Edmonton ranks where? 5th or 6th instead of 7th? - micah555
Yeah pretty much.
But there is a huge difference between having the 19th best GA and 28th.
He may "like" the flames top 4 but they are more than likely going to give up the most goals in the whole league this year and he has them above the Oil. That's blatantly wrong.

What's with the freaking Fox Sports advertising on the site? Are they an official HB sponsor... - 1970vintage
You do realize the ads are specific to each user. So fox ads come up because you've recently visited their site. |

Didn't Phi offer Weber like 19 Mil in bonuses the first yea?
What about Minny with Suter and Parise?
Do bonuses for RFAs count? I know for regular players it does and can be deflected to the following year. - VANTEL
I believe Weber got a $1M salary for each of years 1 and 2, with a $13M signing bonus in each year. It meant he was guaranteed $13M last year, even if the season was cancelled. It also meant that he was guaranteed to make $26M+ in the first 365 days of the contract as the second $13M was due July 1. |

They are like that for everyone, but I've never had fox. Sportchek and clearly contacts...
There are spiders in your computer that troll to see your interests and direct specific ads to you. Obviously you are a closet fox sports fan. |

Yeah, and I believe that if you sign an RFA that all salary and bonus money is shortened to 5 years to calculate the compensation, so even if you sign a player to an 7 year $47,101,467 contract (Max contract with compensation of 1 x 1st, 1 x 2nd and 1 x 3rd), for the purposes of draft picks it is calculated as $47,101,467 / 5 = $9,420,293 per season, which means 4 x 1st rounders. |

We ARE talking about team defense not team standings.
Also just wanted to use some of those emotes that seem so popular. - Aerchon
Yeah, just saying that being the 19th overall team in Goals Against aint that great. Might be better then the Flames, debatable, seeing as Kiprusoff had his worst season ever...
Also, can't wait for the forward rankings, seeing as the Oilers were also the 19th ranked in Goals For (tied with a few others). Oiler fans are pretty high on their offensive stars... |

you say "the forward rankings" as if they aren't "Ian Esplen, Vancouver Canucks Blogger's forward rankings".
I think we're all pretty aware that though our top 6 is good, pretty much the rest of our team is not that great. |

No. Ian's forward rankings are the official forward rankings for the division. What he says goes and the forwards from each team will abide by those rankings and ensure that their on ice performance this season is in line with their team's subsequent ranking within the division. |

I keep hearing the Canucks keep kicking tires on Douglas Murray.
Maybe he can have a comeback year. I like his toughness. |

Yeah, Kipper was not even a shell of his former self last year. And the fact he wouldn't even take a trade to try and win something tells you everything you need to know about his commitment to winning. Dubnyk had a great season for himself; Edmonton had the easy advantage in net.
I honestly have no opinion about who's D is worse, but they are at least comparably bad. |

Murray can't skate. He moves in slow motion on the ice. |
