That video actually did a good job of supporting Kane for Conn Smythe. I forgot all those sweet passes he made in the Minnesota series. Con Smythe has been more of a glamour vote than anyone cares to admit. It sounds and looks great. But other than when the goalies win it do they ever really give it to a guy who "swung the series" or anything.

I've got about two weeks before I'll be ready for LeBlanc vs. Pirri for 2C.

It's going to be the six headed monster of Sharp/Saad/Pirri/Kruger/Handzus/LeBlanc centering the 2nd line this season.

While you're at it Darth, this six headed monster should be your next art project.

First, I think Bickell would have been a lock to win the Conn Smythe if it was known in the media that he was playing hurt. Second, I am damn glad Bickell didn't win the Conn Smythe because I imagine his per year dollar demands would have cost the Hawks a Kruger or Leddy.

Duncan Keith might have deserved it as well as Crawford, and Sharp & Bicks would have been deserving.
Tome this honor always seemed take away from the true team aspect of the Cup series reality.

All this discussion does for me is highlight the amount of talent and depth on the Hawks. Hell, you could even make a case for Hammer in addition to everyone else. Hammer was a stud throughout the playoffs. The one thing I noticed during the run was Sharp seemed to be the player who set the tone physically for the Hawks.

I'm with you John, Brian Bickell was a monster, plus he played the final series on one leg and scored the tying goal in game 6. It doesn't get much better than that !

Runner up...Corey Crawford

Krejci or Crawford should have won it.

Although for Krejci's case, Pronger didn't win it in '06.

Based on what we know NOW....

1. Bickell---fact the guy played that banged up and was still a force in the Cup final was amazing. Set up the Shaw goal in game 1 with a great check. Overall body of work, hard to argue.

2. Sharp...all he does is SCORE huge goals. They may not have beaten Minnesota if not for Sharp, Bickell, and Crawford.

3. Crawford...he lost the award after game 4, when the overblown glove hand conversation began. He won a lot of games and out dueled every goalie along the way.

4. Kane....he was noticeable, and came on late, but the 3 above him have a better case.

My head may explode with the line shuffling, but I'll bet $$ Piiri is going to be given a very long, hard (hockey porn) look at 2c. He was pimped during the end of the season, and immediately afterwards by the marketing machine. Not saying he's the best fit, but he may have to lose the job to get unseated before training camp ends...

I don't really know much about him. I'll wait for the season to judge this move as good or bad.

No. Their names are spelled different. Not to mention there is a hue difference in skin color.
