Don't know why a page about Gagne turns into a fight between Flyers and Sabres fans, but Gagne is hardly done. He's done being a 30 goal scorer, but not done being a productive NHLer. He'd be the perfect 3rd line winger on this team. He has the ability to play on the PP and on the PK. He's a defensively responsible forward who provides great leadership and still has above average speed. And, IMO, he can still chip in around 15 goals, maybe more. I hope they can move Meszaros' contract so Gagne stays. This wouldn't be the Knuble signing, Gagne is valuable.

I did not mean to start a fight with my initial comment. But what I meant by him "being done" was all about productivity.

Yeah but what over spending has the flyers done? Was it Bryzgalovs contract? If you look at the stats he had in Phoenix and being an unrestricted free agent and the flyers desire for a true number 1 the contract fit. If it was lecavalier which I have heard people on here say he received too much look at the market? Lecavalier had 32 points in 39 games last year. 4.5 seems cheap to me.
