Nice dig at Toronto there Garth, I hate you ?
I actually think the Clarkson signing will be good for the Leafs he ll be playing with highly skilled players and he brings a lot of toughness and intangibles. Plus with the way he talks about Toronto and the story of how he told his Dad I don't think he's going to let this team down way to much pride. Hopefully he can help deliver that elusive Stanley Cup. - Yeti1181

Clarkson is not a 5.25 mil. player. I can't believe how hard it is for some people to accept that. - benny948
Clarkson is Morrow/Holmstrom 2.0. body is going to break down from the physical game and contact he makes. skating and speed will only get worse.
i like Clarkson as a player now, 5 years from now not at all.
LOL the numbers don't lie, Reimer was a solid starter for us, for 1.8 million I think that's a bargain in Detroit, St Louis, Toronto, anywhere, but Bernier at 2 + is a bit of a gamble but better than Halak still, and Gustavson (Spelling) which I believe Detroit picked up didn't they....Theres a bargain at 1.5 lol Hows that working out for you? What about Luongo....I mean howard sorry I get mixed up with high priced unproven goalies lol. GO LEAFS GO!!

I like how you conveniently left out the Clarkson signing to make your argument seem more legit. How's Liles these days? I mean I know the ACC suites are nice and all but...

Because he voiced his opinion (one that I happen to agree with) he should never post here again? Get real.
Also don't be so close minded/ignorant, almost all canadian hockey fans love the world juniors. In fact if you go to tsn.ca and look at the articles on the Ivan Hlinka tournament (u-18 world juniors) you'll see that all the top comments are about how they wish the u-18 tournament was televised. So to answer your question of who cares- Canadians care. - Sabresfan-365
In fairness to him, I know him from another site. He was busting my balls.

Its a huge gamble to build a winning core of forwards and D, and then cross the fingers and hope that the goaltending wins games and playoff series.
After the blues sign petro they will be up against the cap. If they work a deal for miller, then halak and his salary will be gone plus a player or two will be in the deal. unless you think buffalo is giving him for free the cap situation is not a problem.
Does Garth get paid for this drivel? I freaking hope not, he gives both journalism and the English language a bad name. The Blues have done incredible things, but now they can't trade for Miller!! Uhh, maybe they don't want to. What an armchair GM. - Phineas

the bills looked organized and prepared, something that comes from the coaches
I have not seen that since Marv retired - homiedclown
well i didn't watch the game but i just wanted to make sure we weren't getting too excited about beating a questionable colts team that is about as deep as charlie sheen

Holy Crap!!!!!! Can you Buffalo Bills fans be just a bit more negative about E.J. Manuel? I mean you would think the kid totally tanked yesterday. Get a grip for crying out loud. He will be a good one.......

If Kolb looks lost Friday, I would cut him and stick with the rookies

i heard the other undrafted guy had better stats than EJ.. since he only played the second half i can't assume he was more impressive than EJ when you consider the whole package but that is good news for a backup..
Don't let JT Compher being scratched fool you?! You're right, Garth... there is nothing to be fooled about. The guy just isn't all that good. The fact that the Sabres passed up on the top goalie of the draft and Zykov for Compher is a complete joke! JT didn't even get mentioned in this article from ESPN:
All those names of guys (and not many impressive reviews of even those listed) and JT Compher couldn't make that list? He is so impressive that all you have to write about him is that he took a couple of feisty penalties? C'mon... that's not what you write about a guy drafted in the 2nd round unless he's a monster! JT is clearly not that... I'm going on record right now to predict this kid never even plays for the Sabres and if he ever does, it will be as a 4th line call-up from Rochester.
Pathetic... probably the worst selection of the Sabres 2013 draft.
