Cloutier, I have recently moved to Edmonton... and while the Bolts will always be my team, I have taking a real liking to the Oilers.

... however... your knowledge on the other teams in the league is kind of... sparse. The fact you put Tampa in the bottom third (clearly) is a bit ridiculous, considering it's the first season of the Tampacuse thing as a whole (if you know our farm system).

And aside from that, I like the Oilers, but automatic #1?

Really? With that Goaltending and Defense? Eakins will do well, but lets not pretend he's going to win them the cup this year. It's another learning season with a low playoff berth as a possibility.

The Flyers could be interesting... same as Toronto (good or bad)... and what about the burgeoning LA/STL rivalry?

Sorry man, I've tried to give your blogs a chance, but the homerism makes baby jesus cry.

Not a playoff team. They got lucky last year. Wasn't enough road for the 18 wheeler to fall off the cliff.

Leafs had a +12 Goal differential in a division where 4/5 teams made the playoffs.
Nucks had a + 6 Goal differential in a division where 2/5 teams made it (and the #2 team was 8th lol) . Both teams are a year older, which is good for the leafs (only three 30 years old's, none on the top 6 offense or top 4 D) and bad for the nucks (seven 30's year old's, four top 6 forwards, two top 4 D)

Cant wait for the nucks to finish 5th-8th this year, then miss the playoffs for a string of years. LOUUUUUUUUU!

This blog is clearly a sign that we are in the dead season of the NHL!

First off, how do you define interesting?
- On ice product
- Off ice product
- size of fan base
- Stanley cup winner
- rivalry
- roster
The criteria's to be interesting (without picking your personal team) are unclear to me, so to answer this blog, I will give you my definition of interesting and will follow with my list.

Interesting team definition: a team that will draw people to the arena when playing away. Because people have a interest to go see that team play. This may cause by rivalry, Stanley Cup Champion, star player etc.

In that set of mind, here is my top 5 list:
- Pittsburgh
- Chicago
- Washington
- Boston
- Detroit

Also, I would like to point out that the list will change depending on the team fan that is voting.

So I am sorry to disagree with this blog but I couldn't careless about a bunch of first round pick that don't make it to the playoffs. When the Oilers start to be dominant, make the playoffs, cup contender... Maybe then they will draw enough attention and make sell out crowds outside of Rexall Place.
Maybe then you can consider them as "interesting".... what ever that mean!

You might not need to wait, the Nucks can miss the playoffs this year. They were gonna win the Cup last year, but they needed another 30 or so regular season games to get warmed up and they ran out of runway. It's like when two seasons before that, if they SCF had been best out of 9, they would have won. The only reason Boston won was because of the length of the series.

This blog was as awful as the first. Easily the worst blogger in the history of the Internet . Honestly, I only read them so I know what Morris,Ihatebrianburke, Iggy'sBF, Laughs,Lahey, Reveen and the rest of you fine fellows are talking about and so that i know why Nugeishige's possession stat's are relevant or why exactly Newmy went off the deep end. Honestly, every time I give him a hit, it should be credited to the posters, not to Clouts creative brilliance.
- Jeropotato

So why don't you guys create a new group, blog spot, facebook page, twitter, or any other place to talk about irrelevant crap? You hate it soo much yet you are here everyday! As are the others so that SHOULD tell you something!

This list isn't "who is the most popular team". It's Cloutier's personal "most interesting teams".

I am not a Leafs fan, therefore I agree with the Leafs placing low. Phaneuf, Kessel, Lupul, um....whoelse...oh, Kadri is kind of interesting. I don't even remember any other names. Maybe 20th would be high on MY list.

Habs could be higher with merely PK's excitement and their continuous experiment with sub 5'9" centermen.

Otherwise I think he's pretty close.

LA fans (and bloggers) make me laugh. "suck it up princess" is my message to the LA blogger...whose uninteresting name I also forget.

- JLO961

Why don't you continue to play chess with all of your highly touted prospects and when half of them end up as 4th liners or AHL'rs, you can say to yourself, "would've, could've, should've.

You say la fans make you laugh? Your fan base is the most ignorant of all the teams on this site. Atleast we realize what it takes to put together a team and also realize we have to give to get. Problem with your team...too many issues to list, but lets start with an owner who has no idea how to run a hockey team, hiring a retread GM and not willing to make the necessary moves to impove your team. Sad thing is, and everyone else on this site will tell you, you have the parts to improve this team, but not willing to risk making the moves necessary.

Enough said.

PS our new blogger is a major improvement and talks hockey and I doubt he ever posts trash like this.

Evander Kane is interesting because he's more or less one arrest away from ending his NHL career.

Based on what besides he is a young black man?

You should be fired for that comment.

He's a jackass...my friend went out with him for a while until he left for Atlanta...she will only say he's an bumhole and wont talk about him now...and before that she was talking about him a lot so i dont know everything he pulled with her but it seems like the kid likes to get in to trouble pretty easily with his attitude...nothing at all to do with his skin colour

I've only got one but I'm trying to convince the wife for more. I pulled out a bit late Friday night. Future Doug Gilmour might be on the way. My future Wendel Clark needs a sibling..erm

and now I've had the snip so it's all good.

Occasionally she's all "Pull out I don't want to leak all day."

Me: "Sure....*grunt*....oh oops lol."

Then I go have a beer or coffee depending on what the time of day is.
