No offense but fhe EDM rebuild hasn't exactly garnered some winning results yet. No proof that it will without altering the path a bit.

How about Chicago? Drafted #3, 7, 3 and 1 from 2004 to 2007. Got 2 stars out of it.

Had Keith and Seabrook from earlier drafts which helped and spent some FA money when ready.

I just don't see this group of Flames anywhere but in a lottery position for at least 2 years, then when ready, bring in some key FAs

Yes, because Edmonton is the only team to rebuild by drafting high 2 or 3 years in a row.

Your intelligent rebuild would consist of what, signing FAs? How else to you imagine this team not being a lottery team for the next 2 or 3 years?

They don't have a top 3 forward on the team, arguably don't have a top 2 D Man, the goalie is a crap shoot (although I suspect he will do well).

Your condescending attitude is getting tiresome, you are just a dude posting on an internet forum, you know no more or no less than anyone else on here, so give it a break.

No, my point was that your philosophy of Glencross and Gio being gone to make room for young guys is laughable. You don't trade away everyone over the age of 25 worth a damn and hope for success. I never remarked about lottery picks or the like. I simply believe this blow it up bullpoop that I consistently see you spew on this site is irrational and wrong. But you're right, I'm just a guy posting on a forum who has no in's or inside scoop, I do however, know more and less than different people on this site.

Where do you guys get this poop? It's hilarious that Iggy was put on the ice with a horrible squad and you say he mailed it in?

I watched every game and am a season ticket holder...Iginla did not come to play every night. It had been that way for a few years. The Flames were becoming country club. Even well respected long time flames broadcasters were questioning his compete level I don't know how anyone can honestly dispute it as it was becoming very obvious.

He didn't do much in Pitts either other than some PP one timers

I think part of Edmonton's problem is that they gave massive contracts to the kids, and filled around them with 3rd line role players. So basically, they put all of their egss in the kids basket. They could have used a player like Briere or B. Richards, a guy who's been around a while and has had past success, to help carry a part of the load.

And Glencross had more goals than IGGY last year with far less ice time

I think if the rebuild started a year earlier it would be Gio for sure but after consecutive rough years I think they should hold off. If they are planning to stick with Hartley to develop the young guys the captain should probably be someone who really excels in his system, which is something Gio and Glencross have yet to prove. I think they should rock alternate captains until there is someone who really deserves it. It'd be pretty rough if two years from now there's an obvious choice and Gio is still struggling and frustrated with the media and all fans talk about is taking away his C.

I agree Stempniak should not be on the list because he will probably be traded by the deadline.

Flames are rebuilding so the quality of roster will be low for the next couple of years.

You should not laugh considering it looks like instead of Montreal doing a proper rebuild, they look to be trying to buy their way out of the mess they are in. Most of the time when owners do this all they get is a couple of years of playoff hockey with no shot at the cup.

Stempniak isn't the best player we all know, but from numerous articles I've read he is a real leader and a great mentor to the few kids that have gotten time to play with the big team since his arrival. Definetly think he should be here for the rebuild

Gio has 3 years left and will be 33 when the contract expires, Glencross has 2 years left and will 32 when the rebuild will be barely starting to take effect, if they actually draft properly.

Do you think either is going to want to stick around for 2 and 3 more years after these contracts expire to see if it pans out? They will be long gone before this team takes a run at the playoffs in 2016 or more likely 2017.

And guess what, they already have blown it up, Cammy will be gone be soon and Wideman will be next.

Off to the lake, continue to post to yourself all weekend

I think calgary needs to follow edmontons rebuild 3 first overalls and pick up a couple other first round picks to take defensemen. They should draft Reinhart McDavid and Benson solid future first line

All of those choices are not the right fits.

Wait on Monahan or Baertschi to develop and give it to them

I don't think they have a choice as GIO is the only one who will likely be there beyond this season. I think Stemp and Glencross will be traded at deadline to contenders who can use some depth and grit.

I'm not so sure of that. I think GlenX wants to stay in CGY but if an offer is too good to turn down he may be gone. Same with Gio, I think.

Do people not remember when Calgary made it clear that GlenX wasn't a trade option? Feaster named him, Brodie, and Sven at the time who were untouchable. Everyone else could be talked about.

3 pounds chicken breasts (cooked & cut into bite size pieces)
6 Italian sausage links
... 2 jars or spaghetti sauce (I use Hunt's in the can - cheaper & just as good!)
1 pound of pasta, penne, macaroni, shells or what ever you like
1 large package of pizza cheese
1 onion
2 large bell peppers - red & green, cut into chunks

Cut up chicken, onion, peppers and sausage.
Boil pasta and drain (don't over cook)
Mix pasta, sausage, onion, peppers, chicken and sauce.
Put in a large deep dish. If it won't all fit, make a little side dish to freeze for lunch later.
Top heavily with cheese.
Bake at 325 degrees for about 45 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

sounds very carefree, happy, or bright and showy some fellow named Sven should be captain
