I just thought it would be cool to play a hockey game where I could play as Lindros and LeClair again. Or even Clarke and Barber for the first time.

I do agree that some players might get overrated. I would be okay with current players on these teams if deserving. It would be interesting to see love you, Crosby and Jagr on one team.

Understand? Rating wouldn't be as important as the names already in the history books or headed there.

I thought there was a Madden NFL game akin to this several years ago with football players from across different eras. I could be wrong.

I would be excited to see a game like that for hockey, mostly due to my own experience with the APBA baseball game's series: Original Franchise All-Stars. The Phillies, for example, had a roster of Richie Allen, Richie Ashburn, Bob Boone, Larry Bowa, Billy Hamilton, Chuck Klein, Mike Schmidt, Jim Bunning, Steve Carlton, Robin Roberts, Tug McGraw, etc.

Now, the APBA game is a card game, but I would be stoked to see something like this for EA's NHL series -- and with today's online games, updates every 5 years or so to add new "All-Stars" would be cool.
