I think Holmgren is hard on trying to deal for him as we speak. Explains why things have been so quiet and waiting to re-sign Gagne. I still think Gags has some left in the tank. Give him a full season back in Philly and watch what he does. He might even be able to work his way up to the 1st line with Giroux, it would be nice to see him play with Vinny also.

I still can't watch the OT highlights. When Kane (sorta? what?) scored, the place went dead silent. Never in my life have I been in a quieter hockey arena, and I've been to a game in Columbus.
I actually kinda feel bad for Chicago fans on that one. They didn't have their big moment, because no one besides Kane knew what happened. There was a Hawks fan a few rows in front of me who kinda half stood up, and wasn't sure what to do. Like, he had no idea if they had won or not.

I'll always say this until the day I die, I would rather take the Kane goal than anything else. It was a lot easier to consume. Imagine a Jason Arnott GWG or something like that--my heart wouldn't be able to take it. At least with Kane, there was confusion and not outright celebration immediately.

No. About 20 teams in the NHL have had some sort of cash grab black jersey. The Flyers are the Orange and Black, not the Very Black with some White and a splash of Orange. Also, the 90's are over.

I think Vinny fills a giant hole on this team. We we're pretty small down the middle of the lineup. Giroux, Schenn, Couts, and Talbot aren't exactly big bodies. Will be nice to have someone who can out muscle other teams in the faceoff circle.

Depending on the system they play this year, it could be a good year, or a bad year. If they keep up with this "close your eyes when you get the puck in the dzone and pray you pass it to the right team" crap is getting old.
