Phaneuf could command one too. you''ve got guys like Kadri and Gardiner likely looking at raises a year later, plus Bernier or Reimer. depends where the cap goes i guess.

We have 2 mil coming off from buyouts at the end of this year..... the cap is going up. I think they'll be able to sort it out.

I don't think Kadri will get more than Bernier and if they can get Franson at this or just a little more say topping out at 3.2 per and each sign a 2 yr deal...that would be fair. If they keep progressing in the next 2 yrs they will get their big contract as the cap will have risen close to 15 million more by then and leafs will be in good cap shape. Nonis is taking good care of the cap and will pay players that deserve it.

Just like this year, they'll be a lot of cap room but yes, it will disapear fast.

There will also be a lot of options. Reimer may be traded by then. Kulemin and fraser may not be affordable for what they bring to the table. They may all have to be replaced with younger cheaper players.

And just maybe, they'll still be a healthy debate going on with what to do with liles.

You;re assuming that they will go back to only 1 outdoor game next year??? I think that even with just the one outdoor game after this year that the cap wont go down much if at all. Ticket price increase are always increasing the HHR, which drives the cap.
