man oh man is that london in a nutshell
or huge douchbags at the dance bars trying to pretend their tough - Dozzer
Me in a nutshell
A lot of d-bags in London though.
Id Never be caught dead in a dance bar. I can't dance. Nor would any of my 115ish lbs try and even pretend to pretend to be tough.
Its nice to break most of the poopty london population mold. |

It may have helped, but they sure are overblowing the whole situation. Asking questions like where were you when he was traded, as if he died or something. It's a hockey player being traded, not a life altering event like September 11th, or a President being shot or something. - ThePresident
oh yeah.. i agree 100% there
i give credit where its due when it comes to hockey promotion.. but beyond that.. w/e
i think the coolest thing for me was my cousin got to play on his line in LA during the 93 playoff run.. so I actually got to see Gretzky play live.. holy (frank) was he ever good.

you mean sports media is overblowing it? In the sports world its one of those types of events you describe.. Maybe just in Canada..is it even a blip on any US media? |

for Canadians at the time it was an outrage, unthinkable, more than just a trade. - senstroll
It was more than a feeling.
So many people have come and gone
Their faces fade as the years go by
Yet I still recall as I wander on
As clear as the sun in the summer sky

No, none at all in the U.S, but I constantly read Toronto newspapers, and watch TSN whenever I get the chance, usually on their site. I see a lot of coverage over something that just isn't that big of a deal. I mean, they've been talking about it every day for like the last week and a half. |

aah so it's Canada's version of the Jersey Shore - RickJames77
oh its not THAT bad
.. just rich kids.. lots of upper middle class in london.. just more of an obnoxious bunch..
thankfully london's scenes dont really mix anywhere.. everyone has their pubs bars clubs and the crowds that hang out in each are usually pretty consistent |

I actually have had a roomate since freshman year that is from the Jersey Shore. I was like (frank), this is going to be terrible. Litterally the polar opposite of the stereotypical Jersey Shore kid and gets so frustrated when people make fun of it like it is simply a replica of the show
It's a good way to get him going |

i actually, oddly enough, might have some free time in the next couple weeks - Dozzer
well I just got some beer brought to me from Quebec Costco by my mother...youll just have to hope theres some left over in a few weeks! |

That's why people from that area hate the show. |
