That may be true in Rockford, but if he pulls it here guys like Toews, Sharp, Keith, etc., will rid him of that "psychological thing" or he'll find himself out of chances, and back in the Screw City.

Fixed. Also, I could see this scenario totally happening.

Probably many here on this board have ( or will) read the NHL.com 30/30 days feature. Today (thurs) team feature was our beloved and therein is the review of the top ten prospects.

In anticipation of this story I asked wiz to parlay his his, and he could go beyond ten spots. I had noticed some lower round choices were trying out for the US Developmental team as well as the World Junior roster. So I was wondering if anyone might move up or down on his list.

Here are two points he made - which we should stop and recall before we start writing about the timetable for our prospects.

First, how old are you calling a prospect. Maybe you could categorize as under or over age 22. The Rockford seven are in a different boat than all,or most of the others. The Morin,Smith, Beach crowd has something tangible, namely, AHL experience. So we can project and have at least an idea of their role if in Chicago next year. Due to the number of jobs and more prospects in the pipeline, obviously some of the Rockford seven would have to sink or swim in Chicago this year.

The part after the age of a prospect being 22...that is my add on.

Now here point two. It has to do again with that word "tangible," as in tangible results.

You just cannot get too excited nor put the under age 22 or non professional prospects too high on a list. In fact, you just sort of group them in the upper, middle, or bottom third on a list. They have to show they can take the next step at the professional level. Meaning AHL. Perhaps Tervainen never plays AHL; I wouldn't bet on the others.

A big favorite for some on JJ board is Johns. Do not believe what they say about him on NHL.com. Dumb reporter takes something he heard as the bible,,like he knows what he is talking about. Johns plays a position where you need AHL seasoning and Johns has not even played defense position full time his entire playing days. He will not be ready to take someone else NHL job. Until he shows that he could, he will just keep gaining experience and know how at the AHL level.

Some dmen still just are not good at quickly moving the puck instantly when they go back to retrieve and are being pressured. So whether this aspect or other things, dmen may take two or more years in the AHL. Clendenning will need three and what about Johns. Wait and see how he does in the AHL. Tangible results.

I singled out Johns not only because some salivate over his toughness and that perhaps he is mobile enough to fit on a roster where another mean dman could surely be appreciated. I am part of that crowd who would like to see Johns soon. Alas, aforementioned this tangible results thing. Wiz did not even have him rated high on a list. Just wait and see how he turns out. There are several AHL watchers who will report on the Icehogs.

No stadium playlist is complete, or really even legitimate without some Queen.

I loathe Queen, though the use of their horrid Bohemian Rhapsody was amusing in Wayne's World.

What about Rocks Off, from the Stones' Exile on Main Street? The 2nd melody phrase ( Heading for the overload/Splattered on the dirty road/....) would be great after a goal.

Or Jefferson Airplane's Volunteers. That would be way, way cool...

Nothing more appropriate than the Hawks skating out to Exiles Loving Cup opening night.

I've heard some teams get to play Queen's We are the Champions. Unfortunately it wasn't available in 1967.

If we were talking about the Blackhawks from the early 2000s, the only song that works is "Run to the Hills" by Iron Maiden.

I just read something silly on ESPN. They had a poll for fans to pick whether Niklas Lidstrom or Zdeno Chara was the better defenseman.

Sedin's?

No.

We Will Rock You? Ever heard of it? Whether you like Queen or not, it's only like THE classic stadium rock song of all time.

If it's not on the list, the list is wrong. Period.

Love Queen; though not a fan of that song.

Was at the Filmore in Detroit tonight watching the Cult live. They played two of JJ's songs from the list; Wildflower and Sun King. Well the band played it. Ian Astbury, while entertaining was (I'm guessing) completely loaded and chose to omit large parts of songs. Oh well, Billy was awesome on guitar. Still a decent show and Wildflower and Love Removal Machine totally worthy of airplay at the UC or wherever.

Not a huge fan of it either, but to not have it on the list of classic stadium rock songs is just denying reality.

How about whenever Backes or guys like Bieksa hit the ice at the UC we play Britney Spears "Hit me baby one more time".

In all serious, G n R "Welcome to the Jungle".

Nothing like "Seven Seas Of Rhye" by Queen... Great one or the fast version of "We Will Rock You".

Queen was awesome. Freddy performing at the first "Live Aid" was amazing.

I was just trying to make a bourbon induced joke about the Sedins.
