It's so damned hard to find a good class to fit in my schedule
And now I found one, interesting and cool hours...and it HAS to have the worst evaluations there can be. |

10% in class advocacy for your film in the vote-down for the class’s
“Greatest Theological Film” contest (participation)
40% either of two options:
a/ your very own detailed movie ‘pitch’ (any medium, the more
creative the better…web, script or video) for a fictional film that, like the movies in
this course, deals with matters theological. You must hand in a two page outline
for the video, or short trailer, with written bibliography at the time of the final exam
or sooner; this will be worth one quarter of your grade for the pitch. The final
pitch/presentation to be presented at last class OR
b/ a paper (13 page minimum exclusive of cover and
bibliography, 12 point font, regular margins and double-spaced) arguing
the thesis “the film……….is among the most creative/most original/most
profound etc theological treatments every made”, with your choice of
movie. You must hand in a two page outline with bibliography at the time
of the final exam or sooner; this will be worth one quarter of your grade for
the paper. Full bibliography (six or more sources, including journal articles),
proper citations and full argument necessary. Paper due at the last class.
No extensions except for medical certificates. |

especially not for Luongo. if Luongo poops himself playing in Vancouver where they don't really care about hockey all that much, what would happen here? - DoubleDown
I don't think this is very accurate. I'll admit that it's maybe not the same here as in some other CDN markets due to climate and so many alternatives on how to spend your money, but hockey rules sports radio during August let alone any other month. |

Previous version. And from what I managed to find on the Interwebs, it's roughly the same every year. |

Yeah but I'd rather not select an elective that looks like it will be work, and other cool courses are full. |

See, I found it to be the exact opposite
Spent 2 months thinking "Concepts clés en traductologie" would be enjoyable. I still do not know what traductologie means. |

Cool courses are always full during the summer. You'll probably be able to take a couple of those during the first week of classes. |

Quebec's century-long bond to the Montreal Canadiens has been called passion, and even obsession. Now a university theologian has branded it as religion.
The Swiss-born Universite de Montreal professor said the ubiquitous relics and rituals linked to the Habs struck him when he arrived in the city a few years ago.
The similarities prompted Olivier Bauer to launch a crusade - in the form of a university course - to explore the many ties between a team that hails its sweater as La Sainte Flanelle - or holy flannel - and spiritual devotion.
"It was a divine inspiration," Bauer said of the idea for his new French-language class, the Religion of the Canadiens.
"It was clear that the Canadiens were a kind of religion. For me, it was amazing that in Montreal there was a hockey jersey that is holy."
To back his thesis, Bauer refers to nicknames of the Canadiens' most notable "prayer leaders," including Saint Patrick (Patrick Roy), Le Demon Blond - the Blond Demon (Guy Lafleur) - and the team's current saviour, Jesus Price (Carey Price). |

At least, he still has a better playoff record than the Leafs |
