Are you talking about the Habs team that clinched the division, the same division which had 4 teams make the playoffs? Yeah right... what a poop team...

Stop finding excuses, they're for losers.

1st place team? what a joke. that's like the miami dolphins finishing in 1st place the season after they went 1-15. the canadiens are not a "1st place" team. you know it and so does almost everyone else except for the delusional.

Gotta be honest, I don't really give a (frank) about pets. But as I live in Rosemont, I'll probably still vote for some kind of hipster.

Meh. There are limits. I mean, these guys basically seem to be ASSÉ but for animal rights, y'know, "omg big companies use animals for test let's close them all" and stuff.

people should lighten up on price until he has a good team put in front of him. how good would crawford or rask be with the mess of a team habs management has had in front of price?
- rob121

Price had almost exactly the same stats the year before, when they finished 15th in the East. The way I see it, Price is as good as the team in front of him, and not the other way around. The team has played better, but not him.

His development has stagnated last year. Worrying? Yes. Reason to be fatalist? No.

I guess Price had nothing to do with that.

The goalie position is so scrutinized in this city. In Price's case, someone out there said "second coming of Patrick Roy" once and everbody went apepoop.

I still think he's a good goalie, people just need to keep reasonable expectations with him. I believe Stephane Waite can help him a lot.

- stinger67

nope, trade him to a team that will appreciate what he does.

It,s unfortunately their right to do so. It's also our right to boycott them.

he needs to find a way to battle out of his slumps much, much quicker. slumps are fine. happen to everyone. but for a goalie getting paid $6.5 million/yr, you expect him to shake it off and get his game back. he just never seems to be able to dig his way out of that hole. he lost it after 40 games and never came close to getting it back last year.

I just can't stand people who see animal abuse everywhere.

I'm against it too, but calm the (frank) down.

so the definition of finishing in first place is NOT "finishing in 1st place".

They should offer themselves to replace the animals in the testing process.

as far as his salary goes, you have to put it in perspective.

Quebec high taxes, and the fact that this city have a history of low scoring teams that rely entirely on their goalies.

Add to that the "dealing with the bipolar fefans" bonus, and voilà.

And let's not forget that even before that 40th game, he was in the bottom 3rd of the league for GAA and SV%. It's not like he was playing lights out before that game... He was winning, just like Budaj was.

No no he'll be fine. It's just that he did not receive enough shots, had a poopy team and a poor dcore in front of him, and was worried about his grocery.
He'll be just fine.

meh ok.

wonder what MB will do next summer. going to be a pretty big shift for the team. losing about $13 million in UFAs, only RFAs would be Emelin and Diaz i believe.

Well, they won 5 of their last 15 including the play-offs after Emelin went down.

Maybe defence did have something to do with Carey's kitchen?
