Same with pet birds....wild ones have to watch out for snakes and other predators constantly...

Snakes hunt at night...birds have a very very poor vision at night.


EDIT : When I want to catch mine I just bring it in a dark room (doesn't have to be that dark) and I can catch it in my hands easily.
