I'm a fan. I wish he succeeds, I really do. But that won't prevent me from calling it like it is, and last year he was not really good. Finding excuses won't cut it, he was average and certainly didn't play like a 6.5M elite goalie. Sorry. - fidopro
While I agree that the sum total of his year placed him in the bottom 3rd, the first half of his season he was top 5. The Habs just need to figure out why he went off the rails... |

I agree his playoffs were quite rough, but unfortunately players don't always earn their contracts anymore they are based on what they MIGHT do. |

He was top 5 in wins, even top 3, bot not in GAA and SV% where he was bottom 3rd |

Even with those stats I figure 20 other teams would take him right now, just for what he could possibly do. |

Honestly can't remember what was your take on the trade, but I fully recall whose side you were on in the infamous Halak vs Price debate - QuebecPride
It was clear they would trade Halak. Only those who don't want to see didn't see it coming. I was okay with it.
It's not because I'm critical of Price (and he certainly deserves it) that I prefer Halak! People don't seem to understand that. |

And to complete my answer,
personally, I don't like trading players who accomplish miraculous performances in the playoffs, performances we remember for years. Halak, like it or not, did that. He goaled like Roy in 93. That's 20 (frank)in years ago!! Now I understand they had to trade him and it's fine.
Same thing with Claude Lemieux, Leclair and Desjardins, who had really great playoffs, and I didn't like to see them go at all.
People need heroes, you don't trade this type of player who deliver under pressure. But that's just me. |

Did EE seriously just write a blog suggesting the habs should explore trading price? - muffin_man
Bahh.
Price does well he's right.
Price doesn't do well and he's traded.
Win, win for EE's prediction. |

I was looking at several goaltender stats of some of the great ones and what Shocked me was seeing Ken Dryden with the Habs for eight years, he lost Only 57 regular season games..I find that amazing. Great team in front of him too. |

I wonder if Price or Luongo Fucale can do his groceries without having his five-hole raped? |
