The WHL is good for drafting defensemen, the OHL is good for offensive forwards and the Q is good for drafting goalies. - DariusKnight
Yeah Whl is a quick simple rough tough farm boy game. Ohl has a lot more skilled players and the qmjhl they don't really play defence so goalies get lots of shots against |

Polasek is a very steady and simple D. Pretty good mobility for a bigger guy, almost always makes a solid/safe play in his own zone, decent first pass, uses his size to his advantage.
Not sure if he'll ever be as good as Allen or Mitchell, but the potential is there, and the style comparison is close.
I tend to think Mitchell is a more intelligent player. He's constantly talking to and organizing his teammates on the ice.
I don't see that same type of leadership from Polasek, but that could just be because he's been a younger newcomer on both the Wolves and K-Wings, and also because english is a second language for him.
He does have very good composure in his own zone, which is something that Mitchell possesses.
I doubt he tops out as good as a Mitchell or Allen. My guess is a reliable but unspectacular, physical 5-7 D. - Fosco
Thanks. Yeah it kind of sounds like a physical Tanev almost. Be nice to have some one on our D that will guard our net. |

Things hopefully will be different this year now that we control a farm team. Some of our better prospects get better roles and more minutes. |

Do we have insight into how Green plans on coaching? Is he going to make them block shots and yell a lot to get them ready for Torts? |

He only has the one year of coaching experience and that's with a pretty talented team. I guess we will see. |

Well its good to know we are the only club who's prospects have flaws.
Shink, is small. Kane gets pushed around on the boards too |

Pronman was tweeting standouts between periods. Hunter was mentioned a couple of times.
I saw mostly positive comments about Gaunce, too.
All fan comments should be taken with a grain of salt... |

Lack is no longer a prospect. And right noe I'd rank Gaunce #1 and Jensen #4 - Bieksa#3
How is Lack no longer a prospect? He's a better prospect than half the guys on the list. |

I guess since he's expected to be on the big team this year he gets pull from prospect status |

He's 25. Maybe too old for "the list." |

Lack hasn't played a game in the NHL and goalies generally take longer to develop, so I still consider him one. After this year, no. Horvat is without question our number one prospect. There's a reason he didn't play today in the prelim of the prelim team Canada game. He's a lock. Gaunce on the other hand is on the bubble and a full year older. Gaunce imo will be the Canucks number two center in his prime, while Horvat will be the number one. |

Na..no such thing as too old....Schneider was 25 i think when he made the jump. I read it as "he's no longer a top 10 prospect" rather than he doesn't qualify as a prospect. |

Hunter & Bo don't really count because they can go back to Jr. |

Correct, signed players who are junior eligible don't count towards the 50 contracts unless they stay in professional hockey for the season. Technically, Vancouver has 47 contracts right now. |

I believe Brendan Gaunce is also still jr eligible, 46. |

Is being "Concussion Smart" the opposite of being "Batpoop Crazy"?
