Fun thread JJ

Deffo love The Cult and have detected via t.v. The Cult's Wild Hearted Son blaring on occasion at the UC. Also enjoy She Sells Sanctuary and Love as singles off the Love album and have heard both at NHL arenas.

Anything by The Stones.

Zeppelin's Misty Mountain Hop or When The Levee Breaks, where Robert Plant explicitly wails..."Goin' to Chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwgo."
That would be great for the first game back after a long roadie.

Californication by Chili Peppers.

No More Tears by Ozzie....heard it a junior game in Van and it sounded AMAZING !!

Of course The Hockey Song by Canadian icon Stompin' Tom Connors...and last but not least...the old Van Halen staple 'Panama', which i've heard at almost every arena i've ever been in.

I've always pondered a fictional scene in a hockey movie that would feature one of those super, phuck'n annoying linesRichards that won't drop the puck. Then, one or both of the centermen say..."hey, you gonna drop it tonight ? " To which the liney smiles and says..."Hold on boys...i just wanna hear the bridge in this song."
Wonder if this has ever happened ?

If you are doing anything by the chilly peppers then do Can't Stop

If I remember correctly, they played this at the beginning of a marlies game. Would love to have it with some bright ass lasers for the Leafs

independant of the hawks/bruins finals, gotta throw a vote for shippin up to boston, especially when chris pisani is at the hawks game & does "the jig"! the game night people know exactly when to play it, usually the hawks are either tied or winning with about 8 minutes to go in the 3rd. I hope that doesn't stop next season, fans look all around for chris at the 1st chorus of that song! awesome tradition!

I guess he is a big deal at the UC. They show him in clips a lot. I remember they mentioned he was going to kick off the 2010 Stanley Cup parade but he never did. Unless they just didn't televise his part

Lots of good ones have been listed already, but a few that I always like from the old Stadium and early UC years were...

Desire - U2
Even Flow - Pearl Jam
All My Life - Foo Fighters
Man in the Box - Alice in Chains
Would? - Alice in Chains
Spoonman - Soundgarden

As you can tell, I grew up with grunge in the 90s

How about an intro song when The Nucks come to the United Center. The chorus of Elton John's The B!tch is Back.

Yes, it's Du Hast. Just a long, repetitive part of the opening guitar riff.

Absolutely. Tool is about 756 billion times better than any of their copycats and hanger-oners (I'm looking at you, Deftones/Chevelle/Disturbed).
