We REALLY need to trade Vanek & Miller
I'd keep half of each of their salaries
I want assets that we can use to trade up in the next two drafts (if need be) for Reinhart & McDavid
IMO,
Our defense is set for the future
And our Forwards look a lot better than most think
Add the above two,
And we are all set to be legit contenders again for quite a while - jdfitz77
I highly doubt that that any team will trade the Mcdavid pick |

Almost as bad as Garf and $abre$ fans. - blacksheep1
Let's go Thrashers!
Wait....
I mean, let's go Flames!
Hmm....
That's not right either
I don't think anyone who's part of a fan base that lost TWO NHL franchises should talk smack to ANY other fan base....
U might have been a great fan,
But seriously dude |

You're probably right
But assuming we trade Vanek & Miller,
We should finish with a top3 pick each of the next two seasons
That's at least within striking distance to try

Not unless you ship off a few more pieces. The Sabres aren't exactly cup contenders, but they're not worse than a few other teams |

These kind of statements are just as empty as the one you are refuting. Hagelin and Grabner are two of the fastest skaters in the NHL, period, and to try to differentiate between the two is rather inane. Greening, Karlsson, Stalberg..lots of speedy guys in the NHL, and since there is no head to head comp besides the Skills Comp which means nothing, we will never know who is the fastest. Hagelin did break Gartner's record though, which is impressive, but it's not like he is going to beat Grabner 10/10 times, every time. - Blackstrom2
Well, considering the speed skating competition, as someone posted earlier, Hagelin beat Grabner's time by a pretty large margin when it comes to comparing the top skaters. My statement wasn't empty, it was a rebuttal to the extreme statement that was made that "Grabner is by far the fastest skater and every analyst agrees...". Grabner is clearly a FAST skater, one of the top in the league, but to when a Ranger fan says that Hagelin is the fastest, there is at least substance to back it up with. A responding comment that says Grabner is by far faster is just ignorant, especially when adding "all analysts think so"... |

My point is that that doesn't mean much, in terms of evaluating their speed. It's a skills competition during the all-star game. It's not like they are speed skaters relying on the best numbers because that's what they do. They are both faster than most defenseman in the league. I guess the original statement was a little bit more ridiculous. |
