At least I would have an NHL job then. Ok, so Booth for Stafford, works for me. Who are the other 3 players they pick up to fill the roster? - nated81
sedin/sedin/kassian
burrows/kesler/stafford ala booth
higgns/richardson/ferriero (jensen if ferriero doesnt impress)
hansen/gaunce/weise (schroeder if gaunce doesnt impress)
edler/bieksa
garrison/hamhius
weber/tanev
corrado
Luongo
Lack
I'm not a fan of putting gaunce on the 4th line but he needs to ease himself in to the line up
I think this is what Tort will do (obviously I believe it will be booth and not stafford in there but i'd rather see stafford at this point)
and not necessarily those d pairings, just threw who i believe will be on the team |

Fair enough, I'm not sure about Gaunce and Schroeder either. There's going to be a few good battles at training camp.

for the first time in years it'll be a nice feeling to see that...AV would have never allowed it |

Yeah, I think Torts will do good with what he has to work with in Van. Not too sure how long he will last before the players tune him out but he will make people work hard for their ice time. |

I'm sure they'll tune him out around some time next year...or at least a few of them...it'll snowball from there...but who knows, he lasted longer than i thought he would in ny |

Stafford would be on the 1st line instead of Kassian - French-Connection
I do not trust Staffords defensive side of the game (which came from you) which is why I would put him with Kesler and Burrows...Kassian was great with the Sedins for a while, til AV took him off the 1st line for no reason what so ever |

oh, I didnt realize they tried Kassian with the twins already..Stafford to me was worth ever penny of his contract when he first signed it, he is more than capable of 25-30 goals, but I think he needs a change of atmosphere more than anything |

"But now Kassian has been promoted to play on the top line and the early returns are impressive. Kassian leads the Canucks in goals with 5 in 7 games and is, in fact, tied for second in the NHL in goal-scoring." that was from early in the season |

off and on during the season, never could keep in a groove...hard to say how many "games" he played on the top line, it was more than just 7 i believe, but thats some times only shifts at a time...all i know is, he should have been given more of a chance...i would have been fine with sedin/sedin/kassian booth/roy/kesler come playoff time |
