100000000000% agreed, the Oilers youth is amazing..I like what we have but they got the studs for sure..the only thing I argued was for Miller being way better than what they got now in nets..but for the fans here to argue our prospects are more deep is just a pride issue

well Miller certainly has far more experience...but as I said yesterday, I don't put as much importance on goaltending as I used to...its more about a team system and coaching style...I think we'll see Lundqvists numbers go down a LITTLE comparing to what we're used to...AV doesnt like guys diving (to stop a puck from hitting the net) Canucks have dove, but not for an actual reason other than to draw a penalty, and I think that sort of system that AV recommends, will hurt Lundqvists numbers...the amount of shots getting to the net are going to go up for the Rangers

Yep, i still do not understand why they're not trying to work a trade around Vanek and Hemsky...it would benefit both teams...both injury prone...both great players...I think Oilers would have to add a little more but not a whole lot...maybe a 2nd

That is the main problem, he plays injured, he reminds me of Kesler in that respect, I certainly have respect for that sort of player...he's a very good player when he's healthy...I have nothing bad to say about that guy...he's good...certainly wasn't trying to say otherwise...

not saying hes injury prone..and this guy is one of the best snipers in the league..but he is gone, if you think he will retire a Sabre you are whistling in the dark pretending, hes as good as gone..he has no desire to stay here

If a deal like this were to be seriously looked at, look at a signing extension by Miller prior to, one of the beefy D men taken 2013 1st round (most likely Zardov), also look to Pysyk/McNabb/McCabe and perhaps even a McBain type move as well.
Throw in the 2014 1st from Buffalo and I can see a deal at least being considered.

Buffalo would be looking to bolster upfront scoring, they have NHL roster D depth as well as a decently stocked prospect pool combined with what's sure to be a high 2014 1st rounder to play with, any type of combination can be hashed out I would think.
Edmonton would like nothing more than to stock it's D ranks with big bodies that can play now or very shortly, all of which Buffalo has to offer.

Obviously it's speculative, but, the point being there is the potential here for both teams to "win" a trade based on need and where they are currently at with their respective development and compete timelines.

No he's not Kesler plays with broken bones though...and Kesler only starts the season injured in most cases...due to almost dying in the playoffs the year before

If you don't count last season which was a cluster(frank) of injuries for Kesler, half of which could have happened to anyone...he has only missed 7 games in the past 5 seasons...
