miller steals games.
dubnyk merely just attempts to not completely blow every game - hugefemale dog77
Exactly! |

The Oilers can't give Hemsky away. Too much cap space for an injury prone player and to give up a 2nd line player for a potential top 5 goalie will never happen. This does not help the Sabres. If Ryan goes, they get someone who helps them now or a high pick/prospect. This deal does neither.
Why not just say you the panthers are trading upshall for hiller. Yeah, that one is made up too. |

Don't see Buffalo agreeing to this, I think Edmonton would have to add a high pick/prospect for this to work. |

first unless Quick is hurt Miller has ZERO chance as starter for the US
second why is Miller being valued so high? what exactly has he won or accomplished?
If he was so good teams would be falling over themselves trying to get him. They aren't.
Buffalo has made it known they want to move him. Miller isn't happy there knowing this.He has put his place up for sale. Teams know these two things. Why over pay for a 34 year old goaltender who isn't happy and a team looking to move him? - Pelle31
Wow, Miller is getting older right before our eyes this offseason...seems like he aged 3 years just like that ... Oh brother |
|
|
|
you're telling me Miller would have done better against the Hawks this year than Quick did? what are you smoking?
in front of Boston's defense I may agree with you. Rask is not that good and had 5 guys willing to block and collapse around him. - Pelle31
Youre delirious if you think Miller sucks and is the reason the Sabres suck.
Miller would be in Vezina contention every season if he was playing on a team like LA, Chicago, Boston, Pittsburgh... hell even the defense group the Rangers have. |

Hemsky for Miller is NOT HAPPENING unless the Oliers include another roster player.
You'd be ignorant to think otherwise. No way Hemsky is worth Ryan Miller straight up or with other prospects changing teams.
I really don't think Ryan is going to accept a trade to Edmonton anyway so this blog is really moot. Why would he want to go there? |

Exactly, a SMART trade for Buffalo if the Oil were willing would be say, Miller to Edmonton for 1st & 2nd round pick in 2014. Or Miller for Gagner & a 2nd. Sabres need to re-build with picks & young solid players like Gagner. - GCHonda
Really? Miller is so great that a single year of service is worth Gagner and a 2nd? We do that trade and we A) miss the playoffs anyway due to a lack of depth at Center.
B) totally ruin Dubnyk C) go I to the draft without a 2nd rounder D)Go into next season with no goalie, no 2C
Mac T should be fired for this trade.
Realistically, Miller will get you less than Schneider got the Canucks, unless a contender loses a goalie for the season before the TD, no one is going to pay much.
My prediction: Miller stays a Sabre all year and walks as a free agent .Sabres get Nothing for him. At all. |

Schneider is young with big potential. Miller is older who's numbers have been on a decline and is going to be a UFA. I agree that the Sabres won't get as much for him. |

Do you even understand that you made my point for me?
Potential?
Good luck trying to sell a GM that in place of the experience that Miller has.
Schneider's potential does not fetch more then Miller.
Please, just stop already. |

Do you really think a team is going to give some top prospects or picks + for an aging UFA? If Miller is so much in demand they would have moved him already. I think he will be moved at the deadline, but it won't be for as much as you think. |

I recall this game.
we had absolutely no business coming out of that game with 2 points - hugefemale dog77
every starting goalie steals games during the year, every starting goalie..thats not proof of anything, he has never faced real pressure..I would be curious to know what he was his last 15 games or so if you want to make a statement..cause even though those are not playoff games they are pressure to some extent down the stretch..and I think the one mistake Oilers fans came here and made was comparing him to a proven guy like Miller, thats just plain stupid to do..wait till he at least wins a vezina or steals a playoff series like Miller has done in his career..its too soon to compare |
