Yakupov for Vanek, Hodgson, Ennis, Myers, Pysyk, Ristolainen, Grigorenko, and Miller and 2014 1st rounder. - laughs2907
you would make a great GM! |

If miller had more than 1 year left before UFA then i would say 1st, but hes gonna test UFA if he sticks it out with buf, so would you rather have hemsky and a 3rd... or nothing at all? because if they dont take a deal somewhere they get NADA - digitalbath
they will get a 1st and a prospect guaranteed |

You should extend Miller as well. He will lead your team to many Stanley Cups in the upcoming years. Miller will only get better - laughs2907

Agreed. If I were GM, the Oilers would have had 8 cups at least by now. |

everyone said the same thing about Filppula, "guaranteed to get a few picks or a prospect"
what happened? we did nothing and he walked. I bet anything Miller doesnt even get moved and signs somewhere else UFA and you get 0. if they trade him prior you wont get what you want in return.
But thats just My opinion of course |

Hemsky and a second and I'd be ok. Then flip Hemsky for a second and a prospect at the deadline |

You would be crazy to want Dubnyk over him. Sorry. Not saying Miller is worth a ton, but he's a proven workhorse who has hardware and playoff experience. Dubnyk has proven nothing compared to him - sbroads24
Dubnyk still hasn't played over 50 games in a season yet.
He's proven nothing to this point other than he can be a solid backup. |

Pretty much my point. If the oilers are going for the playoffs Miller is definitely a better option |

Agreed.
They are both overpaid but Miller is a proven commodity.
Hemsky is barely hanging on this league...he's too soft and will be playing in Europe soon enough. There is no doubt to his skill level but he's not cut out for the NHL game. - quinnjj
Hemsky has seasons of 77, 71, 66 points and three seasons of similar PPG. You'd be hard pressed to argue he's not cut out for the NHL. |

Schneider falls into that category also...he went for fairly high 1st...Dubnyk would get something back in return...but not quite that...probably a late 1st...Hemsky and Dubnyk for Miller should get things done |

That's an interesting trade to discuss. Do the Sabres want to bring in a goalie that has NHL experience and can battle Enroth for the job or do they want to let him just take over and have Hackett be his back up. I'm not opposed to getting Dubs back but I don't think Edmonton would want to move him as he would be plan B if they can't resign Miller after this season |

Well I don't know who is on Millers list of teams who he wants to play for, I'm pretty sure Edmontons becoming a more attractive place to play though...not for the city itself but that team is getting closer to becoming an absolute powerhouse |
