Oh you must know many Native-Americans then? ok..

The difference between the Irish and Native-Americans, well it's a pretty big one. See we raped and killed thousands of them then stuck them on little plots of land across the country, then say here you go you can have this little piece of land.

- Cheeseballin

What you mean "we", white man?

I personally never did, nor did any of my family - being 3rd generation and all.

Did the white Europeans steal their land? Yes. Break treaties? Yes. Subject them them to a racism similar to other atrocities against other non-white minorities? Absolutely. There is a lt to apologize for, and atone for, and make up for.

But don't say "we" did all of those things, implying that "we" condone them.

Unless, of course, you were involved.

Do you benefit from what those white Europeans did to them. Yes "we" all do by getting to live in this great country. So yes you are taking advantage of what they did, whether you condone it or not, you are benefiting from it right now.

I'll stray away from the debate on the political correctness of the Blackhawks logo for a bit. But for the record I love it and have only had positive interactions with Native Canadians about it.

There are lots of reasons it's great to be a Blackhawks fan. But as of last it's been even more interesting to be a Blackhawks fan in Vancouver. For the past few seasons the Canucks have been our most heated rival and Vancouver fans would have nothing but the most asinine and negative things to say regardless of the facts. But after this Stanley Cup victory I'm seeing more and more Canucks fans come to appreciate and respect the Blackhawks organization. It's not just about the 2 recent Stanley Cup (although that helps) but its also about how well we've drafted and developed young players. The 2013 Blackhawks won the Cup to way the Canucks want to win but haven't been able to. Sure, there are still some idiot Canucks fans out there (as there are for every club) but you know you're doing something right when the fans of your biggest rival start acknowledging how good you are.

So - what happens if next season is a disappointment - none of the Ice Hogs steps up - Bickell perhaps takes a step back - Stan doesn't make a needed move at the trade deadline Hawks back into the play-offs and are out after one round.

Does this warm feeling toward the organization, Stan, McD, Rocky continue? Or is it back to dysfunctional front office, marketing meddling in hockey affairs, Rocky letting it all happen?

Not sayin', just askin'.

Washington Redskins(which gets the most criticism)

There is a reason for that, and that's because "redskins" is racist slang.

Sounds like what they did with the American Buffalo (sans the rape). Perhaps your team's logo is also insensitive and your city should be renamed?

Go troll elsewhere you jealous little man ! You're just pissed the Leafs still suck. And while I love the rat. I'm glad he's playing for the leafs. his back will last about 3 weeks into the season and he's gonna break your heart.
- mmurray892

seems a bit much considering he only commented on your team's logo. As a leaf fan I am proud of the way the team performed last year, considering they were the third youngest team in the league.

The leafs havent been as bad as the hawks were (hawks had three top 3 picks/4 years, leafs havent drafted that high since 1989!) to hasten the rebuild process, but they are well on their way...

Out logo is not a Buffalo.... its a buffalo with sabres

And buffalo are animals not humans. If you can't tell the difference I feel bad for you. Although I'm sure PETA would disagree

The fact you are comparing an animal to a race of people is kind of insulting.

Based on Darks only, with no consideration for 3rd's...

30) Minnesota (props for unique colors...horrible name and logo...bad)
29) Nashville (urine yellow....nothing else need be said)
28) Winnepeg (No.)
27) Carolina (OK logo, unimaginative color choices.)
26) Dallas (bad since the move from Minny, what's wrong with green and gold?)
25) Colorado (dumb name, semi unique colors...meh)
24) San Jose (unique colors are good, ugly colors are just....ugly)
23) Columbus (boring)
22) New Jersey (would be much higher if they brought the green back)
21) Anaheim (nothing special, but sooooo much better than eggplant and teal)
20) LA (also would be higher if they brought back the Yellow/Purple)
19) Ottawa (see Columbus)
18) Florida (major props for unique color combo)
17) Phoenix (can't go wrong with red)
16) Washington (retro-classic)
15) Tampa (ditched the black...good job)
14) NYI (same as it ever was...except for the unfortunate Gorton's Fisherman incident)
13) Calgary (need to permanently ditch the black...do it, do it.)
12) Pittsburgh (go back to Blue...please, not every team in Pit needs to be black and gold)
11) Vancouver (great colors, logo so bad it's good...the rink "C" not the Orca)
10) St. Louis (they just look right)
9) Buffalo (glad they also went back to their roots...looking at you Jersey and LA)
8) Edmonton (classic logo, love the way Orange pops on the white backdrop)
7) Philly (ditto)
6) Toronto (cool, especially with the retro Leaf)
5) Detroit (classic)
4) NYR (Logo? We don't need no stinking logo.)
3) Boston (great logo, great colors, love the shoulder patches too.)
2) Montreal (iconic)
1) Chicago (most colorful logo, classic striping, best shoulder patches, SC Champs!)

Winning always helps you feel better about a team. But realistically all we as fans can ask for is the management to build a team that consistently has a shot at winning. That doesn't mean we have to win every year, we just have to contend. That's what Stan has done, whether the Blackhawks win or not you know we have a legitimate shot.

im not saying the preds are it and the hawks logo is fine.... but its nowhere near the best in sports. not even in hockey. leafs, bruins and wings are better and im not a fan of any of them.

Uniform likes and dislikes are a matter of personal taste. I myself like all of the original 6 uniforms. Of the remaining 24 "expansion" clubs I've always liked the Sabres early sweaters, the Blues early sweaters, the Northstars, and the long gone Nordiques with the Fleur-de-lis.

Just please return to the straight hemline, and no more friggin' piping on any uniform.

I agree with most of your list. Vancouver's colours are great, but you're right about the orca C. They should go with their third jersey all the time (new version of stick in the rink).

I actually like Winnpeg's jersey. They've got great colours and the logo had really grown on me.

I like St Louis' jersey too, the Blues have always been near the top of my jersey list. Nashville and Tampa are my least favourite.

Yes, some people just have very bad taste, and it's up to people like me to set them straight.

If we're talking former teams...Hartford's were awesome too.

Love the Vancouver lumberjack logo too. Winnepeg's colors are ok, but I would have prefered something a little closer to the old Jets logo. St. Louis strayed for bit when they added all those diagonal red stripes, but the two-tone Blue they wear now is awesome. I hated Tampa until they ditched the black, now they look good to me, simple.

Ogi...I liked Hartford's sweaters as well, just skip the smiling Whale.

You also don't much care for the new Jets uniforms, which I think are fine...not great, but ok.

I would also give props to the Islanders for returning to their roots, just drop the alternate sweater like a bad habit...they are awful.

When Quebec City gets their team back, I sure hope they dust off the originals. I can still see the Stastny brothers flying across center ice as another packed house rises to their feet.

Bring back the Nords!

If the other trees are upset they need to speak up. Like the Natives who are upset by the Blackhawk.
- Leafland

First off all your team is grammatically incorrect. The plural of leaf is not leafs. So when the higher ups make that slight edit then you can come flapping your gums.

All fair.

Wings, legitimate choice.

Pens? Meh. No.

Wild and Sharks? Look man, anything post 1975 blows. And blows hard. Over-designed, and so "trying to be cool," they get dated almost within a decade.

It is certainly subjective, but a LOT of unbiased people consider the Hawk brand hallmarks—the Indianhead, the tomahawks, the colors—the pre-eminent uniforms in hockey, especially the reds.

Barry Melrose, for one.

Now, I know, you'll say Melrose is a tool. But you know what? Even though it is subjective, the Hawks' stuff is just plain cool and classic and ballsy. period.

- John Jaeckel

Fair enough on most points... saying anything post 75 blows is pretty foolish though. The history of a logo is certainly relevant. But just because teams come into being after the original six, doesn;t mean their logos can't be cooler. I love the skating penguin (I AM a pens fan so homerism can definately be present) and the sharks logo was an instant hit. the wilds new logo is damn cool. One could argue your logo is slightly insulting, but I for one am not one of them. Those people are just a bit to sensitive. Several logos, including from the teams I listed above wont lose their luster after ten years. period.

that logo is awesome fool! name, meh. But great design on the logo
