What would you want his reaction to be?
- PhillySportsGuy

To be a team player. He got pulled off the ice for reason..... We also traded his ass for reason. I would take Voracek over him every day of the week.

I went Roenick, Forsberg & Briere because I just went like I was picking the best players.

I really wanted to add Giroux and Richards. Honestly, if this was the end of last season I may have bumped Briere for Giroux.

So being disappointed about being taken out of the game is a bad thing? I hated being taken out of a game. I would roll my eyes at things coaches did. Is there anyone here who would rather have Nodl on the ice than Carter? It didn't mean he hated Nodl or blamed him or wouldn't cheer for him.

Well, looking at a guy and scoffing at the selection as if "you gotta be kidding me" really isnt the best one.

Pissed.. at himself for slacking would be appropriate. Thats the difference though. There are players that get out there and play harder (thats the type of player I am), and then there are players who come off as arrogant and wanna play the blame game.

If you could have seen the reaction you would think otherwise. There was another poster that was at that game and saw the same thing... I think it might have been NFG, but Im not sure.

He literally scoffed at Nodl.

Let's see what he does. He's had one great season and one great playoff run. He certainly took a bit of a step back last year but I'm hoping that was more of a bad team, maybe nagging injury thing.

Briere has given so much more to this team to date than Giroux. In the long run that may not be the case and I certainly hope it's not but right now that's a pretty realistic assessment.

If Giroux was able to elevate last years team a bit and will them into the playoffs than there's absolutely no debate. He only managed that sporadically at best and certainly didn't bring the fire that raised him above from the previous season and 1st round of the playoffs.

I guess I don't see it that way. Disagreement with a decision isn't a bad thing. The guys who agree with everything the coach does and says are usually not the smartest players.

I'm not going to hold a roll of the eyes against Carter. Especially when it likely occurred in his early 20s.

he didn't roll his eyes at his coach or himself, he rolled his eyes at his "lesser" teammate, i think is the point he's trying to make

just because you're in your 20s doesn't excuse ahole behavior, i've never understood that theory

Why the shock Babies?

Briere brought us back from the season that shouldn't be mentioned and an amazing playoff performer, Roenick was tremendous in his time here and Forsberg is Forsberg.

Giroux is better than Briere at every aspect of the game. again love Danny B...BUT. Giroux is currently top 3 best in the league. No question. Briere never could hold that title.

I dont hold it against him. It just pisses me off. I hate that kinda poop. When you think because you are a better player that you DESERVE to be on the ice... thats a serious problem.

I want the guy who gives 110% every time he hits the ice.

If the reaction wasnt so glaring I wouldnt have even batted an eye. But it was that glaring. Get pissed off. Slam a stick or the door to the bench. Dont openly act disgusted with the guy who is taking your spot on the PP. There is a good reason you are being replaced.

I just don't see why he would roll his eyes at Nodl. If I were in that position, I would be mad with the coach and not the player. It would make no sense for him to be mad at the player.

The only time I've ever gotten angry with teammates is a lack of effort or a lack of focus.
