G, Richards, & Forsberg for me. Seems to be a fairly good consensus with Giroux and Richards...3rd selection was up for grabs. For me, regardless of the limited time Forsberg spent here, including the frustrating ankle issues, I was in awe of his intensity and skill at both ends of the ice when he was here, even in his later years.

Re-watching glimpses of that playoff series vs Buffalo when he was a machine at both ends of the ice and just took over games was what did it for me.

First off, how is Gagne not on this list?

Second, my first memory is when I was under the age of 7 and it was the year Flyers games started being televised on cable. My Dad ordered it a couple days before the season just for that reason, but it could not be set up until after the first game. So my dad and I listened to the game on the radio in our kitchen.

The better question is where is Petr Nedved?

Have to go with Richards, Giroux and Briere based on Longevity and Impact.

Forsberg was dominant when healthy, Carter could be dominant, Roenick was a character and Primeau had his moments.

Richards, Giroux and Briere IMO have done the most during their time as Flyers.

In the selection for the 2000 team, nice to see that Jeff Carter is still loved here!

That's cool. The criteria I went with wasn't about longevity and top production. Just very skilled and amazing players to watch. Giroux, Forsberg, Carter.

I went with the same criteria.

So naturally I chose Forsberg, G and JR.

I'm surprised at how many votes Primeau is getting. It's amazing what one playoff series can do for you. Briere was a playoff stud his entire time here. And Primeau is getting more votes.
- MJL

How? Briere had more goals against while on the ice than goals scored while he was on the ice. Briere was a liability when not scoring.

First game I ever watched, Flyers-Maple Leafs 1993. I accidentally found it while flipping through the channels one night. The Flyers lost by four or five goals but they beat the living hell of out Toronto. The hatred was palpable. The pace was frenetic and the intensity had me wired. All I could wonder was why no one had ever told me about this game. I have been in love ever since.

I can only imagine what the Flyers would accomplish if players like Peter Forsberg or Chris Pronger could do if they were able to stay healthy beyond two full seasons.
