I don't see how I'm disputing that some players have or haven't. Nor am I trying to change anything or make him a fan favorite. I'm just stating the facts. And it's not true that Carter doesn't elevate his game in the playoffs. He clearly did the last two playoff seasons in LA. And he was healthy. Playoff runs in Philly he was not healthy. Just a coincidence?

Why did Anze Kopitar struggle in the playoffs this past Season? He clearly was not 100%.

- MJL

i'm not talking about his time in LA, i'm merely saying why a lot of people don't miss him

not sure what there is to argue about that statement but ok

Also, Giroux's performance two springs ago have no bearing on his comparatively pedestrian season this year.
- BulliesPhan87

Man. I hate having these kinds of discussions. The last thing I want to do is run down a player on the Flyers that I really like because someone is over defending the player. I wish Giroux would have picked up where he left off before he ended up with two fractured wrists in the playoffs. He struggled last season despite putting up pretty good numbers.

If I had to rank him taking into consideration all positions this past season I'm not sure counting Defensemen and Goalies he'd make the top ten and that pains me to type.

Enough of the Carter talk. He's gonzo. Flyers got a solid return for him let it die already.

Now with Maclin, and Riley Cooper gone, any truth the Eagles are bringing in Harold Carmichael and Mike Quick for tryout? Trainwreck

That's an obvious reaction to a clear cut situation on the ice. When a player comes off the ice to the bench shaking his head. That could be for any number of things.
- MJL

He didnt come off the ice shaking his head.. He was called off prior to a faceoff, the only player to come off mind you... skated towards the bench when Nodl hops on to the ice. He sees Nodl and then the theatrics ensued. But I guess that isnt an obvious reaction to a clear cut situation on the ice...

It was a rough season for him. He wasn;t top 10 last season, but I expect to bounce back this year. Just in terms of taking some of the defensive zone faceoff burden off of him should help.

On a losing team and different linemates all season....finished pretty high on the scoring list.... dont forget his penalty killing
- GOA88

I'm not saying he was terrible. PPG is a solid pace. But to say he was top 3 this past season is giving him too much credit.

beginning of last season he looked slow and wounded, his skating was totally different

didn't look like his old self until march-ish imo

Interesting list.

We're all sure Tyler Seguin is the 37th best player in the league?

Really?

Also, is the creator of this list aware that Ilya Kovalchuk no longer plays in the NHL? It was kind of a big deal.

Its not basing it off of one season. Its a team game. As a player... his skill is absolutely top 3 and his peers would agree.

That's TSN and that's before this season even started. You and I are discussing this past season and whether he was a top three player in 2013.

As sad as it is to say, he wasn't even close.
