yeah, no they won't. Subban is better now and will be better every single year.
- DoubleDown

You're right. Neither is inconsistent. Take subban's 7 goal, 36 point season before last year.

but again you are right. Man you're on the ball these days!

Wow.

You either don't know these players or are simply trolling.

- Scabeh

Gallagher, I am prepared to cut him some slack, he is a rookie. But his mouth and play got more than just himself in trouble. Dod you not notice how Ottawa pounded him and everyone else when he was on the ice.

Subban is a different story. Everyone saw him fighting with his team mates. He puts himself ahead of the team. The mark of a selfish player. My guess is Montreal is already thinking about what they might get if they could move him. You don't win championships with hot dogs and selfish players.

I liked Toronto's performance in that new advanced stat they refer to as the 'W'
- Zezel

I love that stat, too. And the Habs outperformed the Leafs there, as well.

can't argue with this right now. both are so inconsistent though, they will alternate years of who is better. People think Dion was better when he was young on Calgary, but now he is focusing more on Defense (where he should be) and not putting up 20 goals, and making wild stupid hits. In my opinion, both subban and phaneuf are wildcards, i'd take many D over them but both are incredibly skilled in that they can do it all (when they don't have their head up their ass)
- clark_griswold

Sorry, how many Norris trophies has Phaneuf won? Zero? Right.

Also, 23 year-olds tend to keep improving. 28 year-olds generally plateau then decline.

You are literally everything that's wrong with your fan base.

First season: 77 games, 38 points, -8
Second season: 81 games, 36 points, +9
Third season: 42 games, 38 points, +12

that's called progression clark. you might want to progress through a dictionary, because your comprehension skills are about as poopty as your hockey knowledge.

By DeVry standards, Clark's reading comprehension is actually pretty solid. Granted, not "finish the 2 year degree" sold, but I'm very confident they let him eat with utensils.

If you ask Sens fans, they'll tell you that Gallagher was one of our most effective forward against them. Always close to the net and never stopping. Of course he pissed them off, but that's because he didn't back down from anyone or anything.

As for Subban, he needed to become more mature and the new management really helped him in that department giving him less space and giving him structure.

If his attitude is the same as last year, where he wasn't a distraction for anyone and focused on his play, he'll keep being one of the best d-man in the league on a regular basis

I think subban is similar to phaneuf, they both can do a bit of everything. I also think he lacks support like Dion, so he can be a game breaker, yet get exposed. They are both polarizing players for sure, lots of hatred towards both. Both score alot, can hit, and be a pain in the ass. And both definately need some more help.
- clark_griswold

I kind of agree with your post, and I see where you are coming from, but the comparison is week. PK is in the elite class and Phaneuf isn't really that great. I like his grit, competitiveness, and focus, but the skill levels of these two players are in separate universes.

PK is like a racehorse that won't focus, that won't calm down...you want to break him "a bit" but if you break that horse too much he will lose his edge. He'd be a really tough guy to coach for sure.

Not quite as tolerant as Quebec. At what point will you be alerting Pauline Marois that this thread isn't offered in French? You could sue you know.

You left out and the 7 goals is more of what i was referring to, but we all know how you like to mask stats, like you did with carey price.

agree. very hard to find the balance that will allow him to be as effective as he can. i think he came close lasst year but he's still got a ways to go (which is scary, to think that he can get significantly better). he'll be interesting to watch this year... contract year for him too. if he regresses, could cost him some coin.

Actually we couldn't.

This site isn't hosted in Quebec and even if it was the law 101 doesn't apply to anything on the internet.

I'm glad we cleared that up.

Oh well im off to my cottage in about half an hour so this is just amusement for now.

Sorry, do you mean the Pauline Marois who won 32% of the popular vote. Now I know they don't place much emphasis on basic math at DeVry (not to mention the fact that you failed out!), but the fact that 68% didn't vote for her is indicative of the fact that the overwhelming majority of Quebeccers don't agree with her horrifically xenophobic ideology.

But hey, as long as we're playing that game, at least our Premier doesn't publicly endorse a book that condones Islamic men striking their wives, or employ pedophiles on her transition team.

I didn't realize that DD's girlfriend slummed it with 905ers. Enjoy your parents' cottage.

Oh, and you're a "wrestling" fan, too? Way to shatter stereotypes.

Point is stick to hockey, and not calling people retarded or bringing up Florida, Quebec etc. Look at the left turn the thread took last night after someone brought up Detroit going bankrupt. No one cares about politics on here. But if you want to be so angry you have to call people retard and get personal, all the power to you bro.

actually i own it with my brother. But that's the beauty of the internet, no one can prove anything, and tough guys like you can come on here, take out their frustrations of their crappy lives and stir crap up. You can pretty much say whatever you want cause no one can do anything about it. Must feel nice to finally be able to be tough.
