It makes sense since Lander has never been proposed to line up with anyone other than Nords on here, so he might as well play with himself. |

How did u acquire Clifford? Also, if Hemmer is still here, shouldn't he play with Smyth and Lander? I think for shut down purposes that Jones Gordon and Joensuu are a better match. - Jeropotato

Trust me I agree 100%... His flip flopping opinion pretty much kills any credibility he might have had. - Reveen
The best is still when he says "I have been told" or "from what I heard the Oilers are definitely not in on ______". I'm pretty sure deep choke is some crusty old man at the bar in Boyle. |

To your average man, that's the same as telling a dog it might as well lick its own balls. |

Sure. Maybe he has a nefew that goes to school with a guy that works part time with a dude who's cousin used to bang a receptionist who used to dyke out with Olzyks receptionist here and there. |

Since you clearly don't understand, allow me to help you out:
Ales Hemsky is a talented player who belongs in a Top 6 group. He's not a hitter; he's a swift-skating creative playmaker that would be an upgrade offensively for several teams.
However, the Oilers have two better players ahead of Hemsky on the RW on the depth chart: Nail Yakupov and Jordan Eberle. With those two on the team, Hemsky is pushed to the third line, where he isn't a fit.
The Oilers need big wingers who hit in the bottom 6. Two-way players. Hemsky doesn't bring that. So even though he's a talented guy who absolutely has value, he's not a fit for the Oilers Top 6 or Bottom 6. For the sake of the player and the team, he needs a trade...and if he goes to the right situation, the team getting him will improve because of it. - Maxbone
What can we get from the Isles for him?

take it

Wrong? Out of the many reasons why dogs are better than people, that is probably the best one. |

It's common knowledge that receptionists swing both ways, especially at the work place .I have seen thousands of hours of video evidence. |

Couple of things;
As sad as this sounds, at present we have no proof any of belov, potter, grebeshkov, klefbom, marincin are better than n schultz.
Im no fan if his by any means, but hes our 5th dman right now.
When mact spoke of depth, i dont think he meant minusing talent just cause we have more bodies back there.
And how much is hemmer gonna get? A draft pick doesnt really help much. Assuming he stays, at least he gives our 3rd line a little bit of offensive punch. I understand people like to define players in certain roles and hemmeer doesnt fit the true defintion, but he certainly wouldnt be the first effective player of his ilk in a 3rd lune role.
That said, im actually a little more concerned about jones being effective on the 3rd considering last year.
Id feel much more comf with a true physical defensive stalwart alongside gordon and hemmer. Which then moves jones to the 4th.
Or maybe joensuu?
A guy like greening/joensuu alongside gordon, hemsky.
And then jones/eager, lander, brown |

Ottawa sends: Colin Greening to Edmonton for: Ales Hemsky
There's a start.. CG is a very good/affective 3rd line winger. & Edm would free up 4 mill in cap space. |

Ya, thats exactly what i was thinking of when i wrote that. Ive always kind of thought that way but that quote really put it in words in my mind. it makes so much sense.
Haha he was that bad huh? Addition through subtraction. Its your bottom six that scares me. the rest of your team i feel can make the playoffs.
Top 6, while small, can match up with any top 6 in the league skill wise.
Defense, while you got depth, thats for sure. it seemed to do ok last season, hopefully schultz continues to improve, petry has another good season, smid plays well, ference fits in, and 2 of the rag tagged leftovers can give you serviceable minutes.
Dubey is fine for now, hopefully builds on a pretty decent season. Weird case. Every time i see him hes very meh, often letting in a stinker. But then i looks at his stats and he has a 920 sv%. So he must be doing something right.
That bottom 6 though, - pbrsimps
I think the coaching and D needed some work. EDM was 19th in GA, but 2nd in SA/G (TO was 3rd). Dubey was what kept them in it a lot of nights. I suspect Eakins, Ference, better bottom pairing and whitney gone will push them up to 9th-10th in the west. No playoffs this year |

wow. holy sh*t. A sens fan proposing this? Greening's a great 3rd liner. Played top lines decently this year.
I'd absolutely do that. Add a pick to EDM's end |

oh eh. Last 3 teams in playoffs were 1,2, and 4 in fenwick. Can't ignore possession. |
