Nope. Its pretty obvious why a devil fan would hate gomez. Its also pretty accurate to call him a bad player. He's certainly not better than Clowe, Jagr, or Ryder. You are overreacting. - rmdevil313
I'm not overreacting, to actually bash a teams signing after what the devils have gone through in the past 2 years is comical, thats all |

Agree. I really like McKinnon but I'm starting to think Drouin may be a more dynamic Giroux-type player. I very curious to see his play. Florida will probably look to a trade as there's players available for the right price. |

That guy's avatar is a picture of a troll. I appreciate all the support boys, but just let this guy "lol" himself home. Thank goodness he adds three "lol"'s to all of his comments so we know just how hard he's laughing. Only two wouldn't do it justice in terms of how pathetic we are. |

Do you pronounce your name as "Jerk-O"?
I like the signing. As already stated correctly, Gomez looked pretty good in SJ, and the time in Montreal was criticized from day one.
At 900K, I'd like him in the locker room and if (and I think he will) he can mentor young guys and be a solid leader it's a GREAT signing! I think this can surprise some folks. - PanthersGoal
I like your team but I think Gomez adds zero to your team. I wouldn't want him in my teams locker room. Never was a fan. Big contract followed by under achieving not that he had the skill level to ever live up to it in the first place but he wasn't worth half of it. Guy is worthless |

Why is that a mistake? Maybe they're not happy with one of their Centres and think they would like to upgrade in the future? |

Not sure how you could find it comical for a devils to bash the signing of gomez then. Obviously they aren't paying him poop, but at the end of the day, he is still not very good anymore, maybe even washed up. Look how his career with the canadiens ended. Ya may not rather be a devils fan, but at the end of the day Devils fans can at least say they got to watch their team hoist the cup 3 times. ;) - ruttager17
So what? the only time I would remotely want to be a fan of a team is when they're doing well...they're due to suck for a very long time...and not even a 1st to help...reminds me of Toronto sucking bad when they traded for Kessel...difference is, at least they still got Kessel out of the deal |

Gomez:
gp 39 2g 13a 15pts -10
Briere:
gp 34 6g 10a 16pts -13
Bolland:
gp 35 7g 7a 15pts -7
Henrique:
gp 42 11g 5a 16pts -3
So Gomez is as bad as Briere, Bolland, and Henrique, is that what we are saying here?
** Would have been 9th on team scoring in NJ last year, just sayin' |

Wow no wonder Gomez was able to squeeze out a whole 900k on a 1 year deal.... And obviously there is no need to watch games when you can just look at points to evaluate a player. Great post. |

Or he could use 20 like the Islanders trolls. |

And we literally had 6 players make their NHL debut last year because of injury. We had no chance. People often forget that the players we lost last year were the same players who led us to the playoffs the year before. - Panthers88
More importantly that playoff team had Weiss centering the top line and Garrison bombing shots and playing great D. Those players are gone, don't expect Sean bergienhiem to make any kind of impact. Steeger still hurt, Gomez will probably end up playing top line minutes on this mess of a team. |

Huberdeau should be the top line C at this point, he was one of the panthers bright spots last |

Well I guess they had 2 options there, put Huberdeau on C and draft Drouin, or do what you're suggesting there |
