I don't think the devils are bad, I just think their prospect pool is one of the worst in the league. As of now their team is about average and prospects are below average. With a couple of top five picks that can change fast. Nothing wrong with missing the playoffs a few years. Every team goes through it.

I actually like the panthers but I'm with you on Gomez. If I were a devils fan I'd probably hate him even more?

And half our team was injured in a shorten season. And we got another great and up incoming player in Barkov.

And you just lost your best forward two years in a row. I think most people would take the panthers situation over the devils!

Huh???? They have Kris Versteeg on the books at 4.4 mil per season, he is their second highest paid forward. That is not very good paper at all.

I like our situation. We'll roll four lines every game and surprise some people. Not saying we'll go to the Cup but.. there are teams in worse situations than us.

I think if barkov can contribute right away and the team can beat the injury bug off them you'll be in the playoffs.

I like the signing. As already stated correctly, Gomez looked pretty good in SJ, and the time in Montreal was criticized from day one.

At 900K, I'd like him in the locker room and if (and I think he will) he can mentor young guys and be a solid leader it's a GREAT signing! I think this can surprise some folks.

The devils in the past 2 years have literally lost Parise, Kovalchuk, Clarkson, replaced them with Clowe, Jagr, and Ryder, explain to me, how that is an upgrade......Floridas got one of the best, if not the best prospect pool in the league...I'd far rather be a Panthers fan than a Devils fan at this point in time...the glory days of stevens, niedermayer and brodeur in their prime are long gone

Florida has been stock piling top level first round pics for a over a decade and have yet to make anything out of it. Same story in LI.

Nope. Its pretty obvious why a devil fan would hate gomez. Its also pretty accurate to call him a bad player. He's certainly not better than Clowe, Jagr, or Ryder. You are overreacting.
