Honestly anyone really using last year to measure how this season goes is crazy. TOR made the playoffs the BJ were picked to finish last in the league. The year before we made the playoffs and took you to a game 7 double overtime.

And that was when your team was much better IMO. But anything can happen in this league!

I agree I like the signing from what I remember he is still a pretty solid puck possession player and is great at carrying the puck into the offensive zone I remember him being one of the best at offensive zone entries. I don't know if that part of his game has slipped ? obviously his production has fallen off the face of the earth but as long as he still brings the puck possession and offensive zone entries he will contribute to the panthers success.

San Jose had a lot of good things to say about him he is like a fourth coach on the team. And who knows he might find his game again i really doubt it but I have honestly no expectations.

Slow hockey news day when the lead is Gomez and the most important thing to say about him is he's from a cold place and is now playing in a warm place...

I think in a lighter sense he will be like your Jagr we don't expect him to put up many points but its his puck control and defense that will be the most valuable to us. Even if they aren't putting up points they still find ways to generate offense for others.

I agree 100% with comparison I think would players will fit well in there roles in their new teams and if they don't it's only one year deal. They both could pay out big dividends.

Jagr is good anywhere he goes. And Gomez IMO looked really good in San Jose and I think all he really needs is boost in confidence. I think Montreal killed him.

I'd take our defense too. You guys let nearly 10 more shots per game on net last season. I don't think that will drastically change with anything that has happened in florida.

panthers suck, gomez sucks, he only went there because it was the panthers or europe.
