Puberty, most likely. - TommyDeVito
You mean being 20 and not reaching it yet? Must be very frustrating. |

Think of the benefits though. Getting that random uncontrolled erection is amazing. Having to to do a 180 degree turn to do the tuck under the belt so no one sees is something that i look forward to everyday.

I exaggerated. But definitely not a kings ransom. Erikson is underrated I get it. Not a star. And Kessel is better. So really what was the point of trading Kessel then? Might as well kept him. - Smurfs-A-Joke
They also got Morrow, who's a top end defensive prospect maybe only a tier below guys like Gardiner and Klefbom. |

My team hasn't won in 40 something years. I still support them. Why would I change teams if Markham gets one? Bleed blue and white all day every day. It's called loyalty. Canucks fans used to cheer for other teams before the Canucks existed. Won't understand what loyalty is. - Smurfs-A-Joke
Is that why you list your team as the Caps? |

Ilya Kablukov is still playing out in the KHL somewhere. Between him and White we have two players who are putting up some serious GP numbers in professional hockey
- 22sedins33
we? canucks dont even have the rights to Patrick White anymore, which is why i'm ok with this draft, they had gotten ehrhoff for him essentially |

Anytime a team can come out with a solid 2nd line center, u cant complain too much.
But those other 2 picks of plante and nash are laughably bad.
I blame prendergast more than anyone for the fall of the oilers.
Literally 3 decent picks in 20 years.
When the oil tore it down in 2010, the cupboards were totally bare.
Incidentally, he just got fired from head scout if hockey canada too.
The junior team hasnt won a gold since he took over

I was thinking more of the shame of having a tiny, little bald package. The erection would be so tiny that hiding it wouldn't be an issue. |

Zack Hamil will lead the Canucks to a cup win. LMAO The Sedin sisters are still crying from Daniel getting her first ever penalty in the playoffs. - Smurfs-A-Joke
Daniel got penalized for being punched in the face and not retaliating vs Boston smart guy. |

I think kessel will resign but he wont take a hometown discount. I think he will sign for close to 8mil (perry/Getzlaf).
I think he is worth around 6.5 - Bluechip23
There's no way Kessel gets Perry / Getzlaf money. He might get more than he's worth, but $8M is ludicrous. |

I still don't know if Kessel will resign in TO. Being a UFA he could go elsewhere and try and get out of the media spotlight in TO.
IMO he does not seem like the kind of guy who likes dealing with the media all the time, and he might like the opportunity to play with a real top line. His linemates have helped him put up very respectable numbers, I just think you could upgrade on Bozak and he would get even more points.
IMO Phaneuf goes elsewhere when his contract is up as well, try and get somewhere closer to his wife on the west coast. |

2007 was really a very good draft, lots of talent there.
Like any draft, there's misses, but seeing the average probability for a 1st round pick to be an NHL regular is somewhere around 58% from what Scott Cullen calculated, to have this many guys as NHL regulars:
1 Patrick Kane CHI
2 James Van Riemsdyk PHI
3 Kyle Turris PHX
4 Thomas Hickey LA
5 Karl Alzner WASH
6 Sam Gagner EDM
7 Jakub Voracek CBJ
8 Zach Hamill BOS
9 Logan Couture SJ
10 Keaton Ellerby FLA
11 Brandon Sutter CAR
12 Ryan McDonagh MTL
13 Lars Eller STL
14 Kevin Shattenkirk COL
15 Alex Plante EDM
16 Colton Gillies MIN
17 Alexei Cherepanov NYR****
18 Ian Cole STL
19 Logan MacMillan ANH
20 Angelo Esposito PIT
21 Riley Nash EDM
22 Max Pacioretty MTL
23 Jonathon Blum NASH
24 Mikael Backlund CGY
25 Patrick White VAN
26 David Perron STL
27 Brendan Smith DET
28 Nick Petrecki SJ
29 Jim O'Brien OTT
30 Nick Ross PHX
So 20/30 NHL regulars is actually pretty good, and it would likely be 21 out of thirty if the Cherepanov tragedy hadn't happened. That would be 70%, sign of a deep draft. - TommyDeVito
The sheer number of players playing in the NHL is not the only thing that determines the quality of the draft. The actual quality of those players is, and in that sense, no, it was not a strong draft. Not enough top end talent. |

Nonis went against the scouts that year and drafted White.
At least he got us Ehrhoff. Good save, Gillis...

His game has it all, man. Faceoffs keep getting better, his playmaking is there and noone was finishing, he brings the play down to the other zone almost every time he's on the ice.
Look at it this way - No Karlsson, no Spezza, no Michalek, no Anderson, no Cowen, and we still made the playoffs as a #7 seed.
Turris led the team in ice time among forwards, and that was a decision made by the Jack Adams winner. - TommyDeVito
Biggest joke of a trophy in sports. The fact that the Blackhawks were on pace to set records for points in a season and Quennville lost is brutal. |

That's a tough one. Some coaches deserve to be rewarded for making the most out of what they have on their roster. Joel Q did a great job with what he had, he also had considerable more talent than Maclean and did not have to overcome all of the injuries to top end talent either.
Like when AV won it was only because of Luo, not his expert coaching. |

don't understand the love MacLean gets. guy lost all his offensive firepower because of injury. team couldn't score goals for poop, as expected. they make the playoffs in 7th place because they get the best goaltending in the conference. all of a sudden MacLean is a genius.
thougha a lot of other coaches did a better job than him.
Quenneville
Babcock
Boudreau
Oates
Capuano (they have Tavares but that lineup is still a mess)
maybe even Carlyle and Therrien.
