Voracek should be in the top 10, probably top 5. He has developed into a top line winger. Simmonds is nothing more than a 2nd/3rd line tweener for Philly. I'd also take him over Sam Gagner and Max Pacioretty. When all is said and done, Voracek could very well be top 5 in this draft class.

The Canucks and drafting...where do I begin? I think I'll just abstain.

The sheer number of misses compared to hits over the past 40 years is absolutely shameful. Yes Nonis and Burke drafted the Sedins, Kesler and Edler, but they wiffed so many times it isn't even funny! Pat Quinn was no genius either for that matter.

Looking back at the '07 draft, what are some of your thoughts?
My thoughts are - Dave Nonis was in completey over his head!

Who do you wish your team took?
Jamie Benn - for obvious reasons.

Who do you regret taking?
Taylor Ellington

If I was Gillis the first thing I would have done was replace all of the scouts.

shows you how good the Vancouver scouts were that year.
- Old Pappy

Nonis went against the scouts that year and drafted White.

At least he got us Ehrhoff. Good save, Gillis...

Ellington and Benn are both local Victoria boys, Nonis picked the wrong one

Im huge on voracek. He was a stud last year and he helped me win my hockey pool when I stole him at the end of the draft.

Hard to just immediately blame the scouts. They provide their opinions and insight, but often times the GM goes off book and just goes with the guy he wanted. Happened with Quinn all the time. Sounds like it happened with Burke and Nonis too.

Most good GM's don't and actually trust their chief of scouting.

How does it feel watching your so called rivals Hawks win 2 cups in 4 years and you have 0 in your existence? Canucks fans should wear a paper bag LOL

How many cups does TO have during our existence?

Couldn't agree more. Between his excellent 2-way play in the 2012 playoffs and his near 40-goal pace (he had 46 points in 48 games) last season, Voracek proved why he was a top 10 pick. By the end of his career he will be top 5 in that draft class. To put him as an honorable mention on the list was a joke.

He's a pretty good young player.

But he doesn't belong in the top 10 at this point.

- Scabeh

He's better then some of those players in his top 10.

I regret trading for Toskala using the 11th overall. That would later be flipped with a second round pick for Logan couture

That's funny. You would have lower cups then the Leafs existence if you weren't allowed to select all the french players. Your a smurfs fan lol Sign briere so he can get beat up by every other team in the east. Unlike Philly, he can't go hide in MTL. Worst team of last year's playoffs after the cansucks. How's carey price doing? Has she recovered her form yet?

I'm willing to take a lengthy ban to get rid of little cockroaches like you. For now I'll keep hitting the report button. If you're still trolling this afternoon, I'm going super nova. Could be a lifetime ban.

Same with Turris.
- forbetterorWORSE

What's with Sens fans and loving Turris? He's good but still has never put up more than 30 points in a season. I hope he improves, but I really don't see him being anything more than a good 2nd liner.

Should've drafted Subban instead of Hamill. Subban-Chara would be nice to see in action.
