I think she's smoking hot, but yes, in a bit of a quirky way, which I like.
I've seen a handful of regulars on this board share that sentiment.
Have you ever seen her on her show at all? - Fosco
Pretty not hot... I like her style though |

The whole team wanted his head...yet he went for Cooke? the least likely to give him an absolutely pounding...go against Brad May or Todd Bertuzzi, you'd get whats deservedly coming to you...Hand picking Cooke is the worst thing he could have done... - annoyance_101
I know that if I put my elbow into Patrice Bergeron's jaw like that i'd be taking a beating from Lucic, Chara, Thornton or somebody else that's pretty tough on the B's. I wouldn't get to hand pick Marchand and call it the code.
BTW, wish I could find a better link but it sure looks like Moore goes after Cooke...... after declining everyone else.

Here's a hint; it comes down to who delivered the hit. I believe Bure was within his full rights to deliver that elbow. Bert was not. Bert had no reason to be involved. Naslund needed to take care of his own business. - bloatedmosquito
A hint? How about you just explain why did Bure have any right to end another man's career? How did he have any right that Bertuzzi didn't?
Naslund was still injured. Not his responsibility. |

Yes, that actually was his fault, that is the only guy that he didnt refuse to fight...he refused everyone else...fighting cooke is like fighting my 10 year old nephew...in fact Id venture to say my nephew could beat the snot out of that punk... sorry i can't stand cooke...or moore - annoyance_101
Im not fond of either but...if you were Moore, who would you fight? Not exactly a bruiser himself.
Still, makes me fonder of Gagner. Landon Wilson and Beauchemin. Tough customers. Got his midget ass beat but showed some balls. |

Cementko didn't give them a choice. Sometimes they'd get off with a warning. Different situation entirely. Semenko had no illusions about his role. The Canucks didn't really have a guy like him around.
Probs should have ended after Cooke though. Not Moores problem that the toughest guy he fought was Cooke. Hoe many guys should he have to fight before it's considered settled? - sanfordnson
He hand picked a smaller agitator.....that's not paying your dues. He should have fought any of the guys that went after him and it would have been settled. |

You can't really talk about one game without the other. They're kind of intertwined. - golfingsince
We absolutely can!
It's a very regular occurrence for a play to occur during one game and retribution not to occur until the next. |

Lol, I hear you. I do. He really didn't make it any easier on himself. Be all that as it may, still no reason for Bert to do what he did. |

It's also quite common to have sex with someone and then a child arrive 9 months later. However when trying to come to the conclusion of what happened there is a natural link...... |

Nothing excuses what Bertuzzi did...but I can honestly see why it got to that point...I'd be absolutely furious if Moore was being that much of a punk all game after knocking out the captain...that hit by moore essentially ended naslunds career...i know it didn't directly, but he was NEVER the same after that hit...if he fought someone worth while on the team, it would have ended far better for him... |

I'm not trying to justify what Bert did. My original response was to a poster suggesting that Cooke was the first guy to go after Moore, when in fact Moore declined everyone else and then hand picked Cooke. |

The code isn't that you get to pick and choose who you fight or else anybody that got dirty with Gretzky would have chosen to fight Kurri.......not Semenko. Nice try though. - golfingsince
Ha! Nice try. The point is that Kurri wouldn't have challenged them. The team would have left him for Semenko. That is exactly the point, that Cooke should have left it for someone who was actually going to win the fight. He f*cked it up. |

Bure was being abused that whole game. Hell, he had been getting abused by every fringe meathead that wore a pair of skates. He's had enough of that crap. He decided to put an end to it once and for all. He clearly made a statement to the league that if you (frank) with the tiger you get the horns...
I have no idea what Bert was trying to do. Again, not his business to get involved. |

Great advice 3 kids and 1 vasectomy later lol. Is cool. I joke but they've made me a far better man, and I'm financially comfortable. In any case, never could stand wearing the damn things. |

You're missing the point entirely...Moore declined everyone except Cooke...everyone on that team wanted to knock his head in...(bad choice of words i suppose considering what followed) but none the less... |

You don't get to decline a bunch of times and then pick Cooke as your partner. You have to take your lumps for doing what he did. He refused, it went really bad. - golfingsince
Often times it happens where a player declines the game of. As noted by another poster, Keith didn't require as much retribution because the league suspended him afterwards. The Canucks wanted more retribution because he wasn't suspended. He manned up very early in the game. Likely the 2nd time he was challenged.
The code is you have to fight. The code is not you have to lose. |
