What if they sweetened the pot and threw in a mid-level prospect. Maybe Colorado would be interested if they didn't have to pay anything, but just absorb the contract. They are in a rebuild anyway, I don't expect them to need cap space. IMO it'd be worth it to part with a prospect in order to get guys like Kadri resigned and give Franson the ice time he needs for his development.

I think almost anything is on the table other than a buyout. Thats another 6 years of cap space eaten on a player no longer on the team. We just went through too many years of that. I think making a sweetheart deal where we through in a prospect and a pick is def on the table...make too much sense. Let's hope Nonis is up to the task. I'm pretty confident that he is, they have a good team of guys in that office ...not just him. It will work out!

Listen - you were the one who said any 'scrub' from the Marlies could do what Komarov does. I disagree. Komarov is a role player, and was a very cheap one at that. If you cannot see the value of effective, cheap role players, so be it. There is also a segment of Leafs nation that thinks it knows everything, and that the rest are idiots. Whatever.

Snagged a ride from a neighbour - we were stopped at a light, and the woman in a car in front of us (stopped to make a left turn) was absolutely screaming into her phone. So much that she almost stalled her car as she cleared the intersection.
