I think it was just after the Colborne (I got it right!) signing, so everybody had it in their mind that you can sign half your team for less than a million each....

I think Aulie is pretty overrated.he barely makes the lineup on the worst blue line in the league.

I think franson is worth a first for sure. We're not that far removed from Paul gaustad and Kyle Quincy being traded for 1st rounders.

I'd hope to see more quality for sure. Like a franson/decent prospect for strome type deal. It's been rumored there would be a ton of interest in franson, there's bound to be some value there. If not, I hope the leafs find a way to keep him. Their blue line definitely could use him.

Giving up franson and the first for a decent shot at a lottery pick isn't the worst idea.

It's still a gamble. Tampa could have a decent season, and finish 5 spots behind the leafs or something. That would be horrible.

Needs more of a guarantee. A nice prospect and their 1st for franson and a first would make more sense than taking garbage in aulie, and a gamble on a lottery pick.

I have that feeling to. Don't like it. They need more top 4 quality, and either of those guys being ready for that is a gamble.

They may as well trade franson if they don't plan on keeping him long term. With the poop he's gone through trying to get decent contracts and playing time in Toronto, can't imagine him staying as a UFA. He had to almost hold out to get a 1 year 1.2 mil deal last season. Fraser got more than that a month earlier.
