He won't be a Leaf in 2014-2015. Leafs have too many young D coming up that will be ready for their shot. I just hope to god we don't lose Franson as a result of this...Nonis should be fired on the spot in such a scenario.

No kidding. To me (and to a great many others I'm assuming), it all boils down to who I would rather have. Ranger & Fraser or Franson. I would rather Franson, as he took some great strides last season. I like Fraser, and he does serve a valued purpose, but d-men like Franson aren't exactly a common commodity.

I really fail to see how signing our 6th defenceman to a one year contract at very low cost has anything to do with Franson. |

Brutal, he he looked like a solid pick up for you guys last season, hard to find those type of guys who are a pain to paly against and can actually still play the rest of the game as well.
So jacked to have Downie back this season, him being hurt last season, his presence was missed on the ice |

Yeah, I can't imagine how the Leafs are going to fill his 13:56 TOI/G, or his 9 points.
And he really stepped it up in the playoffs, recording 0 points during his 9:12 TOI/G.
Maybe with any old scrub from the Marlies?
