Ya I just don't think they want to sign up for another 6 year weight around their necks. Geez next year they finally get rid of Tucker's $$ etc at 2.5. With a Trade they are out in 3 on a lower overall number. Buyout does free up more per year but they don't need anywhere near Liles full salary gone to make it work.
- D.Lemieux

we have no idea how much they need.

Franson wants a long term deal according to reports. And if he's looking at Bogosian's contract, and their comparable stats, he's probably thinking that looks pretty good.

Beggers can't be choosers. I'm assuming Liles has no value!

retain salary, and keep the prospect..... or lower it considerably. That's WAY too much.

I'll bet two of us do. The other is behind the bench.

but that is selective.....

like I said, that same coach behind the bench played Gardiner for 27, 24, 21 and 25 minutes in the last four games of the boston series. So, he's the man!

he's no longer waiver exempt.

OK so let's split on they made each other better. And should be playing every (frank)ing game together this year.
- honesthockey

I think they complimented each other. Fraser gave Franson the ability to get his offensive game going by being solid on the blue line and in his own zone covering up for Fransons lack of speed and at times poor positioning. Franson provided the offensive threat while Fraser covered his ass.

I see what you are saying but we can guess at some reasonable numbers for the 2 guys left. I also think Bog has proven more than Franson plus to keep someone in the Peg for that long you have to pay a premium. I used to live there,I know of what I speak.

Franson would sign a deal like shattenkirks for sure. IMO

He's also closer to ufa age then Bogo was......with trouba in the pipe, I think they also shot themselves in the foot. Bogo's a good young d-man, but he should've got a bridge contract.

keep $1.5M salary. take back somebody with a 900k cap hit who won't make the team.

nearly $2.5M savings for trading team.

done and done.

nah I don't mind it. He's gonna be their #2 next year, if they gave him a bridge he'd go WAY high in 2 years.

look at Montreal - sure they got a nice deal on PK for 2 years, but now he's gonna cost $7M+ to resign next summer... bet they wish they'd gone like $4-5M for 5yrs like he was asking.

Wheeler's contract is the one that I'd be worried about if I was as Jets fan...

Wouldn't he have to clear waivers to go back now? Pretty sure. No way that would happen.
