Apologize if this has been brought up...But anyone see Cloutier's 30 teams 30 comments blog?

"21. Philadelphia Flyers - Yet another place Ryan Miller or Tim Thomas could end up. An absolute dartboard of a roster, what makes me sad here is that the team will eventually deal away their good young players (Schenn x 2 and Couturier) to make room for crusty has-beens. Disastrously run franchise."

I'm not on here much, does this guy have a stupid blind hatred for the Flyers or does he actually think any of that is a reasonable assessment?

He is simply fishing for replies. The Flyers thread consistently has the most replies. Want to up the responses, piss off the biggest HB fanbase.

Hated him so much. Completely unprofessional. So glad he's gone.

I don't think I ever read one of his blogs. Were they that bad? Worse than Cloutier and Garth?

Part of the problem with the salary cap is the you've got the better players making big $$ and the younger players making less so that you can fit the budget. Then the middle-of-the-road vets don't have anywhere to go.

That's the player who's going to see the crunch.

Somewhere between Garth's ineptitude and Cloutier's "I'm rude look how cool that is" writing style.

Also, depending on what happened in King's land the night before, they were either winning The Cup or finishing 30th. And he had the guys that could do no wrong and others that could do no right. Basically, he was a Philly writer who needed hits.

Shortly before the playoffs, the year the Kings won the Cup (I was still lurking, not posting) he plumbed the depths of idiocy to say of Dean Lombardi, "he also tends to be stupid." That's a professional opinion?

Trading Justin Williams away was necessary at the time. It was like trading jvr for Schenn. We needed the D. The problem was and I still don't understand is why Markov was traded that summer to Nashville. Maybe he had a bad attitude behind the scenes.
- dingo8urbaby

It was more like trading JVR for Schenn, and then not signing Schenn the next season.

I find it odd.. and found it odd at the time, considering how long the Flyers were rumored to be trying to make a deal with Toronto to land some combination of Markov, Kaberle, and Antropov, that when they finally did land Markov that they only kept him one year.

Clarke turned Markov into a costly playoff rental after the fact. The third-rounder that the Flyers received from Nashville for him was sent with Jeremy Roenick to get him off the cap to accommodate Peter Forsberg.

Cloutier should blog about what he knows about. Unfortunately, blogs about deep fried Oreos and free porn sites can only fill half as much space as 3,476,318 blogs about the Oilers trading Ales Hemsky

Claude Giroux has already spent five years as a Flyer. This season is the tail end of his contract and then he'll be getting paid top dollar for eight years. Should Giroux see through the better half of the next nine season as Flyer, where will be rank between Bobby Clarke and Eric Lindros, the two most legendary of Flyers?
